New World’s track record with broken mechanics and AGS’s way of handling those should be enough to get a basic understanding of how those things work out in this game.

Besides that, the thread you linked is clearly referring to botting and not directly to using macros in the classic sense. Every single person using their Keyboard software or Mouse software to remap their buttons is technically using macros. Every single person playing New World on a controller is technically using macros. Literally every single player on launch used macros to be able to stay in the game and not get stuck in queues.
According to your narrow logic all of those players should get banned, which is obviously complete Bullshit. There is always a reason why people are using macros and if those reasons have an origin in unintended game mechanics, those are the things that need to be directly adressed by the devs themselves.

I used it only when oponent was doing same = i was doing it everytime or in requiem after I lost fair play fight… this is so topical… If you focus esp Against spears or hatchets or bows players every OPR you can see players who do that. Can confirm. AGS not banning for pvp exploits and cheats is a primary reason I don’t play as much.
Even made a video about it thats doing pretty well right now and receiving a lot of comments from people who feel the same. Its at 75 comments right now which is way more than my usual for my small channel. The topic is widely cared about. Players want exploiters and cheaters banned unless they also exploit and cheat.
I’m not referring to just an animation cancel lol. I mean all of it. Aimbots and machine gun abusing muskets included (what my video was about). Why deal with it when even free games funded purely on donation manage to ban cheaters and post their names for everyone to see? AGS is incompetent in this area.
Agree the game needs MMR but they foolishly launched the game with no cross server que support so we wait.
