They still need to revamp 25-60 and fix territory control/wars. What they have on the PTR now is not enough.
3 to 4 months out if they are smart.

keep that hype an hope train going. Love it when people say Fresh Start Servers are confirmed without confirmation!
We may here more from AGS in a couple weeks. nothing is confirmed all conjecture at this point.

I mean they literally said the fresh start servers were happening “Really Soon” in the Dev stream… is that confirmation? am I missing something?

They may release “really soon”, but why would they? One of the biggest complaints at launch was the questing after lvl 25/30. All of that is still the same. Why not finish it, then release? Or does that not make any sense to you?
I don’t know… if you really think about it, even with “fresh start” servers, eventually you still have a chance you get merged with an existing server… then what? I mean if the population is hurting on said new “fresh start”, would you not want to merge? I just don’t see how there is a way to keep it only the same original players on the server… if that makes sense.
They would have to be able to merge at some point. With only 2k per server, you will naturally get a decline in population per server over time. Mergers are inevitable.
Did you or are you playing the PTR? I did and leveled pretty easily to 60 so the leveling is pretty good, even after the 1-25 story revamp, I am not making assumptions just asking, but imo releasing fresh starts has alot of positives for the game and yea there may come a time where the server merges, but its better than trying to compete with already established companies and instead gives a fighting chance for new players to compete, just my opinion though so I could be wrong.

The reduced the EXP by 50 % too.
Little Example : From Lvl 59 to 60 you need 2 mio. EXP on Live, on the PTR it is only 1 mio
Don’t know if this is a PTR Thing only but i think this will go to live too.
Yeah, i thought the xp was to fast. I lvl’d to 60 on the first PTR, mostly because i wanted to get GS weaponskill to 20. Took me until i was lvl 50 to do so from just questing due to the good weaponskill leveling spot is no longer an elite area. However, was still mind numbing after lvl 35ish.

I’ll be totally honest, but no I highly doubt that it’ll sky rocket. There’s gonna be an uptick for sure, but not to an extreme. Also I really believe that if fresh starts come out before the patch, and the 25 - 60 revamp, that pop is gonna dwindle fast and will be merged 6 - 8 months after.
Dont get me wrong, i am pro-fresh start servers. I just think it would be silly to release anytime soon. I think sometime after all leveling is revamped and they fix all the bugs we will have from BSS. Make it the best experience possible for new/returning players.
All I’m saying is that I hope you enjoy it.
many of those who want the fresh are veterans.
many of them will forget about the cool in a few weeks and go back to their main.
I say this because I am also going to play in a fresco.
but you have to think about this, tryhard gamers will always be around, if you think your campaign with 30 or 50 people can take fresh territory, you’re wrong, that’s why I’m just saying.

In my case I will do it to explore the entire map again (missions, new locations etc) while I upload another pj to 60, so I will have the experience of the old and new servers.
I strongly disagree. Do you really think any of the returning players who are hyped and waiting for fresh start servers right now are going to wait another year or two until they revamped everything? No shot. People want to play now, on fresh start servers.
