Oh man, now this game is gonna require more skill. Here we go again…

Yeah, you can render I frames while rooted. Time your one dodge right and you can negate an entire Gravity Well.

If need be I can get use to it. However, it feels pretty clunky. I would prefer they slowed down stam regen instead of giving it a delay.

The heavy armor healing is outgoing healing. It’s not healing recieved. Heavy healers have been and were op. It’s not a Nerf to tanks at all. It’s a Nerf to heavy tanks.

A LS / VG user with heavy gear could sustain way too much on small scale pvp,

in this case, I was referring to the passive nerf of 200 con

In a sense, it’s the same thing. Only difference would be dodge would be less spammable. You can dodge with 1 stamina, so if it’s delayed it causes less spam ability compared to limited usage.

Essentially they chose less spam over less use.

Oh, true. I think it was meant for 300/200 bruisers. Ranged will do a lot more damage now.

It’s a 10% buff to all damage on bruisers. Inadvertently I guess yeah, tanks take a hit. I’m sure they have more balance changes.

They nerfed medium and heavy healers… Healers got buffed. Did you not read the heal calculations buff?

This is true but it would feel better with no delay but less regen. Less clunky feel.

But that allows skillless spamming imo. I would rather the delay be changed due to stamina being more crucially used. You would have to time between dodges better rather than dodge, Regen right away and not give a fuck.

Btw, by the end of a light roll your stamina is already Regenning.

There’s stamina Regen rate perks that are absolutely going to be used more often now imo.

To each their own, but I agree with the change.

I’d rather have a minimum time between dodges rather than a maximum amount of dodges per 10 seconds change. I think the stamina delay is currently so short that it causes these metas to be cheese metas rather than skillful play.

As long as stamina got a Nerf, I’m cool with it.
Now you gotta time your shit better. The skill level on new world just got upped regardless.

I will test again later but this is not my experience. It seemed to me it didn’t start counting the 1 sec delay until after the roll was complete.

I disagree with you but that’s ok. Either way they go, I will get use to it. It still feels clunky though.

I’m saying on live, not on PTR. I’m on vacation and away from my computer. But I will for sure be on PTR soon!

Clunky how so?

Yes, on live it regens by the end of the light roll. On test you roll, it uses stamina, it doesn’t start regening at all until 1 second after the roll is complete.

That to me feels clunky… so its like you finish the roll and you are running around with a half drained stamina bar and it feels like an eternity of watching it before it starts to regen again. But again I only tested things for 15 minutes and mostly I was testing bow. It may just take getting use to. Also, I didn’t get a gear box so I only tested in light. I have no idea how it feels in medium or heavy.

That’s exactly what they changed though. 1 second after dodge is finished compared to 1 second from the second you press dodge. So medium and heavy dodge are less affected compared to light roll.

Light roll travels a lot of distance and has a long I frame compared to mediums quick dodge roll and I frame. So light roll could pretty much have 95% I frame rate between dodge roll I Frame and Regen start.

Medium had a half second or so while dodge has finished and when Regen would begin. Light roll was extremely spammable due to this.

With the 1 second after dodge finishes all dodges are matched on delay by end of I frame for a sort of evenness between dodges when it comes to I frame rate per stamina Regen delay.

I cant really say any more in this conversation. I need to test it more. This is just my initial impression. It feels bad to me. Likely I wont know until its on live servers when I have my actual load out and I am in actual dungeons/opr/war/open world PVP.

Right now it feels clunky because I am use to roll wait a sec roll. I am mostly a PVE player and do a lot of dungeons. I use this roll more for the buffs I get on bow. I also use this roll to avoid damage. If it stays as is I will have to make choices on whether I want buffed damage or avoid damage because certain timings, I probably wont be able to do both.

I agree with PvE change. I’ll have to test as well.

Not sure if you ever play with bow but I can say in my short testing that bow felt pretty great.
