I mean its likely that you will either 1. get another server transfer token or 2. server mergers are out at this change comes in 2022.
Hello
So you want to force us to run stupid boss and elite runs? Thx Amazon. I’m totally not interested in such a game.
The great thing while leveling was, that I could earn xp in multiple ways. And now I should have to do one thing to be able to be competitive in an other gamemode? I’ve fun doing wars or outposts or crafting. But those stupid elite runs are just a waste of time.
So why should you force me and other players like me to do that? Pls listen to the community and do something else. Or reward war or outposts with an equal amount of loot than those runs.
No, they are not.
Naaah, a few things… no one can check your “Expertise” anyway, wont affect you getting into a PvE Dungeon group.
We don’t even know how much extra power % from min to max we benefit from anyway - it’s probably nothing ground breaking. I highly doubt it will hold you back from anything PvE related.
Sieges - people usually just take guildies and not rando’s anyway. So yes, a guild could set a certain expertise requirement, but hey man, thats life… people wanna play with other people who’ve put time into their characters.
Also, again… It’s really not that difficult to boost your watermark/expertise. It’s pretty cringe when “casuals” as you call them cry on a forum expecting the same kinda power level as someone who put’s in hours. Thats just the way it goes my dude. It is what it is.
Who is the game designer of AGS? I mean, who? Their office pet?
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the start of the endgame / group content divide that most other MMO’s have.
Usually crafting / solo players can’t get the highest tier GS because it is locked behind raids. If AGS is starting down this path then we might see outside zones being capped at 570, 580, 590 and expeditions will be the only place you can hit HWM 600.
And when people complain about the capped HWM outside expeditions you will get the raiders version of PVP’s answer - Risk vs Reward.
"Hey guys, we hear you hate this system which tickles us but some of you have bypassed it by buying gear.
We’re here to tell you we don’t give a damn… We’re making the system mandatory for everyone! Suck it losers!"
/drop patch note mic
does anyone actually like this change?
What game have you been playing till now?
Only people smoking the copium.
This is a change that is both needed and late.
This is the way it should have been since launch.
Why, just make gear drop based on content. And then add more high level content. Instead of adding content they are increasing the grind artificially.
Keep smoking that copium
I loved the game so far. Playing 3/4 evenings a week together with my new Company. Hunting some nice pieces from the AH. As MT my gear is extremely importment.
I do not have the time to grind over and over agian to get a HWM.
This change will set me back greatly. With all the changes so far, I’m pretty much fed up with the game current state. Either before or on the day when this goes live, I’m done.
Hope this will not happen.
No it’s not. Just your ability to use it to full effectiveness will be reduced UNTIL you get your expertise up. It doesn’t actually change the GS of the item.
Keep crying about not being able to max yourself out in 30 seconds after reaching 60.
I’m sure it will totally help.
This is how WoW works but raids are time gated so you can’t get decked out in 30 seconds. You also probably won’t complete the raid the first month or two.
I’ve only seen this weird forced gear downgrading and gating in crappy mobile games
@ the Devs:
A really simple solution to this frustration being expressed by people who are at max level crafting but are not yet at a watermark/ gear score to match their equipment is just to base their expertise off of the old watermark OR their crafting skill @200, whichever is higher.
This way, people who spent ungodly amounts of time, energy, and money to get their crafting to 200 are rewarded by being able to use that gear at max proficiency without it being degraded by the fact that they haven’t grinded other PvE options.
Just throwing out suggestions for improvement!
keep defending this dying piece of shit game lmao
Defending? Nah, there’s plenty wrong with it.
This change isn’t one of them though.
