You can disable your hud with LALT+H.
The life staff still consumes mana. without the hud you cannot gauge how much mana you’re using. If you spam it, you can end up killing yourself. If you spam your roll you can end up doing the same. But to ignore semantics, simply add No LS and No VG to the rule set. Also no IG because it has entomb which has a similar restoration capability. Along with nodes that have life steals and perks.
A grind is a grind. This kind of rule set not for the weak willed.

If a player were to do nothing but chop trees that’s their business. That video is just playing the exact same game with a basic condition. If that’s what ppl call Ironman now a days I’ma go look for the “Go Back” button and reset gaming lol.

I was playing LS/WH for a long time and it’s really fun.
It changes everything on how to play a healer. Helping in melee range with crowd control is nice.
You should make a try.
But during the levelling phase, won’t this just feel like you’ve 1 weapon? It did when I played LS/Hatchet. Although LS light attack was overpowered and made the combat dull. The hatchet was for the cheat death mechanic.
I think I want to try different chrs with different load outs. Then I’ll see what I like across the board. Sword and Ironing Board is peaking my interest at present. Especially as the ironing board is new. I’ve an itch for the VG too though.
This looks more like what they call Solo Self-found in POE and other ARPGs except there it also means no grouping.
I have always thought of “Ironman” in games to mean you die, you delete.
Hard to keep up with game terminology these days when terms seem to morph daily to mean whatever you want it to mean and the misuse seems to be highly contagious lol.

that’s the PvP thing right? I can imagine that’s a bit rough!!! 
I’m actually a bit excited to be starting this soon to be honest. I think until there’s a server that enforces the rules, we have to take responsibility and act integral to our starting plan for our chr. Can you imagine finding a super rare item worth millions and then not selling it on the trade post? I think that we will end up throwing so many items away.
I do wonder about chest runs though. I wonder if they should be permitted? H

I don’t know if you saw the video above but his shed space was full!! He threw away something like 500+ potions at ones stage because they weighed to much in the shed. it’s a pity you can’t give stuff away. Maybe TP for 0.01 coin would be a good work around?
Before I deleted my old chr, I tried to log in and give my stuff away, as I often do when I delete a chr. No one responded to me, so I had to delete with 10k coin a and a shed load of great farmed mats! 
I was leveling only with LS and SnS until I realized that everything with WH/GA was much faster. I found out a little late to be honest. hahaha
