I came back to no melee to heal or protect, FSG and Orb being nerfed and bugged as a buff for Invigorated Punishment, an extremely hyped fire staff meta, and being 2-shot by all ranged. Keeping space from enemies in PvP or not - it doesn’t matter I’m screwed from all ends.
I’m not sure how balancing pvp gameplay is this bad. Healing sucks - just screenshot the respawn screen and stare at it for 30 minutes to get my perspective. To get actual gameplay and have options for a support role is not feasible in new world anymore. Before nerfing fortify or the melee role in general - AGS should’ve at-least given healers some type of added layer of protection.
Actually listen to those giving feedback in PTR. Half of the complaints or bug reports were actually posted by players in PTR.
At the end of the day, this has been a very toxic relationship AGS. You slowed me down, hurt my stamina, exposed my sacred circles, and ruined my expensive shirking fort outfit. Let me add I couldn’t clap effectively for MONTHS. I no longer feel needed by melees, my role neglected, it’s over. Thank you for the run, was fun.
And there are still some loony toons that will scream n shout that LS is “broken” “op” & “unfair” in a game that encourages, coddles, pampers & rewards damage, damage, damage. They’ll come jus watch lol.
Healers first time since every are mortals. Top ones are still very hard to deal with. You need 2-3 ppl to take them down. But average healers are not immortals any more.
Range meta is another issue. Main issue is not healers or lack of mele. Main issue is time to kill being even lower than before. And that combined with multiple range shoting at you is very bad experience.
We need x2 hp pools we currently have or big dmg nerf across the board - all range and all mele and to balance this, healing output to.
Being geared/properly gem’d makes it easy to counter a 1v1 combo attack, but the main issue is the combination group ranged attacks. If a bow and FS properly play off eachother - healers blink and are dead.
Yep. Dmg over board is to high. Not only ranged. All weapons shoul get like -20-25% dmg reduction. And everyone does play range now couse u die so fast u cant get anywhere as mele.
might as well remove ammunition mechanics from the game, it was good back when you could not shot when you did not had any ammo, now that you can shoot without ammo on you, we can remove ammo or make PvE only
No. Ammunition does reduce dmg only on range. We have problem with super low time to kill in general. Spear does 3 hit kills, fs can do that, bow can, gs can. To much dmg all over the place.
This is what AGS seems to fail to realize. By nerfing bruisers and just generally making mediuim/heavy melee not enjoyable to play it has a ripple effect that impacts all roles. Right now OPR is 90% 1 role DPS. It is boring and from my experience talking with players even the FS/Bow DPS players think the game sucks right now.
Healed for almost 4k hours and this is the worst it has ever been. I do not enjoy playing anymore. And that’s the bottom line. It is not fun. It is completely gutted. The fortify nerf was the wrong move. Now everyone is crying about mobility issues because they can’t kill fs and bow users. The issue was never fortify. Now you will probably nerf mobility next…
Don’t agree. This patch separated top healers from average and bad ones. Top healers still are super hard to kill even 1 vs x. While bad ones just die standing in own sacred ground like some npc.
Ya it’s def exposing those who use to use SG for themselves. I never did and never ran shirking fort, so honestly this patch really doesn’t feel much different for me. Just made me respec my gems differently for OPR
Although you’re right, it still is the worst it’s ever been. Fortifying Sacred perk and Orb of protection feels useless with fort nerf and invigorated punishment. Healers having some of the highest amounts of fortify were balanced by forcing them into light, now have incredibly low defenses. I’m bissed out and feel fine, but I understand the complaints from other healers.
… I agree with Halfik? xD It is very true. In 3v3 arenas, I found its been easier to kill random healers. However, when I play against a known good healer, it’s a near impossible uphill fight. If they don’t have 2 ranged users who stay out of sacred ground, its 99% of the time a loss.
