100% CPU usage fix?

Hi my game is all of a sudden running 100% CPU which makes my FPS drop to 30-45 fps during wars and normally i was dropping to 55 at the lowest.

There seemed to be multiple ppl having this issue, and you responded to this thread several times that you were looking into this. Is there any news or a possible fix to this? I have tried multiple different fixes and nothing has worked so far.

I’m running an i9-12900K paired with an RTX 3080TI and I’m experiencing extremely high temps when playing New world (I have been playing OTHER games as well: Apex Legends for example, will run at normal temps 80-85 meanwhile New world pushes to 95C plus

Again I’ll emphasize, this is NOT a hardware problem because I can run every other game completely fine without my CPU temps reaching 90C

Just to make sure and to avoid this to be requested to you in the future can you confirm for me if you have already completed a Steam Integrity Check?

  • Steam Integrity check > Steam Integrity Check.
  • Completely uninstall and reinstall game if not resolved after an Integrity Check.

This are basic troubleshooting that we need to run before we’re able to proceed with the next step.

Please make sure to have the DxDiag and Gamelogs ready once you reach support, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

  • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
  • Click on dxdiag.exe.
  • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

GameLogs:

  • Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\
