It’s called the sunk cost fallacy. I’m 600 hours into a game that I can’t even really play anymore, yet I still log in occasionally to kind of wander around aimlessly and put things on the market. I say I’m sticking around to sell everything and give my gold away, but really I think I’m just having a hard time swallowing this pill, that I just grinded 600 hours with no payoff.
As for the steam top games, I can’t help but notice almost every game in that list is 5-10 years old or more. I don’t think it’s that meaningful for a brand new game that had so much hype to make that list when it’s a couple months old. The honeymoon phase is ending, the numbers show it, we’ll see how they look next week.
138,000 people… That is actually a lot of people. Thanks for letting me know cause I was thinking the end was coming, but this is more people than in my tri-county area.
I’m no fanboi, but these posts are getting too spammy.
The most hilarious thing is people like the OP make these edgelord posts, about the game being crap, dead, etc., but stay here, keep playing, and post on the forums.
We get it, you don’t like the game, and want it to fail.
Put your money where your mouth is…
STFU and GTFO
That site measures how many people are talking about the game on reddit and other social media sites and not how many people play the game. All those posts running up the numbers could easily be greatest game ever or screw this I quit posts.
Toxic? If you think people are toxic because they don’t agree with what you say (or in this case, call you out for spreading inaccurate information) that’s your own issue to deal with
You made the claim of 7 times, its your job to provide evidence of your claim. If you are using steam you are ignoring the fact most games dont use steam as a launcher.
