obviously non of those or all of those with the proper context and reasonings for each build in each situation.
but that requires the devs to play the game.
at the very least with arenas they can maybe collect some useful data that isnt mired entirely by the “war meta” or the OPR meta or the open world nothing.
they need to collect data from all 3 to understand the micro the medium and the macro pvp.
I dont run 150 dex in my build though? Im 300strength-200con. My dodge cost 50stam same as you.
I do run the stam perk on great axe, have stam recovery on my amulet, shirking enegry on legs aswell as stalwart+nimble so I usually have a dodge when I want to.
you don’t like it, I do, I use light and every time I ran I laughed at my enemies in medium or heavy, before I used medium with a big ax/hammer, then seeing that the roadrunners make fun of the medium or heavy, I decided to do an archer build, short story, I realized that it’s silly to have so many dodges and make fun of the enemy that way and at the same time have an attack bonus.
what they have done now with stamina is perfect, you will no longer run unlimited, you will have to use your ability to use your stamina, it is the best thing they have done.
I agree. I’m light armor melee and while it hurts me, I think the change is what’s needed for actual forcing fights instead of the endless kiting that goes on now.
Such a ridiculous response lmao the game is not balanced around bow. They simply balanced the game so that the ga combos and root meta are not the only viable options, and they did not buff the bow, they actually reduced the damage of a lot of attacks, but they fixed it. They simply allow us to move after shooting like everyone else, they changed it so that our arrows are no longer flying through people and the heavy attack is reduced to no longer take over 4 seconds with animation to be in line with everyone else. The ga and bruiser class is still strong, but the root meta is not the only viable option. Sorry that you are unable to mindlessly lmb your way to the top of leader boards.
why does everyone complain in these threads without actually trying it?
i dodge fairly well, can 1v6 as med bruiser, play light healer ect
i dont randomly spam dodge, i time it. go in ptr and play with it, you can hardly notice the stam change unles your a brainded shift clicker
Lol, medium vg/ig here, 13+ hours on PTR from yesterday and today, I cant get away from random dex spear, rapier, strength sns or great axe players. The slow when getting hit in the back along with dodges now going a shorter distance while slowed renders myself useless. I dont have an easy escape method like the other builds. If its even a 2v1, im dead because I cant get away/create space even if I manage stamina or use all of it. To your Med bruiser comment - a bit exaggerated, no? But I get your point and of course, that build is very strong right now and just got stronger, but even if you quit swinging first, which I assume not by your post here and wording, or try to pot first, you lose as youre now always on the retreat and theres 0 space to be made. As for your light healer comment, sure, you play far enough away and have rolls enough to keep space between you and your opponent and a rapier to stun any close opponents and fleche to create even more space, I hope you can manage stamina pretty well with that build. Its not hard to understand that with that play style you think its fine because you arent right in/around the fight like most of the rest of us and if you are with your bruiser set, youre meant to be in the mess and lessen the space between you and the opponent vs. create space. Just a different perspective from someone who has tested it and has had it be more of a stamina handicap than a stamina change and an overall change making this game more clunky rather than smooth which I believe smoothness is what we are all looking for.
I tried it as well. I like the change. I don’t think people who haven’t tried it realize how quickly 1s goes by. As long as you aren’t spamming dodge it’s going to be a non issue.
Keep in mind you get 5s after a dodge where the crit perk is up. On ptr I changed my style from “dodge shoot dodge shoot” to “dodge shoot shoot dodge” and had no issues with stamina.
I agree in principle but without stagger on basic attacks, or even penalties for swinging into a block, there is not going “toe-to-toe” in melee. It’s just trading hits and whoever does more damage wins.
Im assuming 3+ guys on a light armor user? Its a problem with light armor and certain abilities which ive advocated for that they should be changed. I do understand some builds can be extremely stupid in terms of movement, especially something like rapier and its abilities, but especially if their build is built to have a ton of mobility, then so be it, thats why they made their build like that. Most support builds i’ve played on the ptr that I use on live are rendered useless because we’re not using mobility options as we want to support our team as much as possible, (given the “Support” build name) and given with the change, its not possible as i’ll just die, reason why in previous post above. I’ll say it in this post too, I understand why they did this, what changes were made to have this be at where its at now, but this is not the right way to do it as youre just adding a more clunky feeling to the game. Just how I view it as though
this change is just a way to not abuse infinite kite by light armor or iframe spam by medium. Now stamina is an actual resource to manage, with ccs meant to drag it. Definitely a nerf to light, which can be fine overall with the new DR mechanic and dodge in roots, still need to test further though
If you are having an issue like this and you are unable to get away then you should switch your olay style and make adjustments to build and become more skillful … don’t ask AGS to nerf other classes because you can’t get away…
For example, if you can’t get away then maybe you should try a light armor build or change the abilities that you are using and get an ability that has a stun and add some cons to have more health to east more damage, but light armor and bow and spear are not OP at all and they can be countered
Ive said day one on test that I don’t like it but I could probably get use to it if it goes through. I still don’t like it because to me it feels clunky. Im use to roaming the world with it too haha. Im going to at least wait and see how it feels when Im doing my normal content on live before I condemn it.
Personally I hope it doesn’t go though but if it does then it does. I still think a better answer is to decrease how fast stamina regens instead of a delay. Delays always feel clunky to me and honestly stamina regens super fast if you don’t run out. Makes more sense to me to change that instead, but what do I know?
