A lot of changes that they made are fine, but the stamina changes to dodging are incredibly one sided and it makes combat feel incredibly clunky. Just look at the distance reduction when dodging while slowed, it is absolutely ridiculous. Add the 1s delay on top and Light Armor is completely gutted.

Reasons why players want to dodge as many as they can:
- Refreshing evasion
- Mana regen
- Bow perk
- Self-defense
- Distance management
- something else

You still can dodge as you want , just need to manage this ressource efficiently, stamina isn’t unlimited anymore. As a light DEX user with hearty ring I could dodge non-stop with like 95% uptime, this change will reduce it to 70–80% and I’ll need to time my dodge more , and spamming dodge will now be punishable. Good players will like this change , bad players won’t

Hearty is bad for dex light players, because it’s very bad for stamina.
Nimble and other perks are nice.
Here you guys go thinking that they actually had a good reason in mind when they made that change to stamina, and that they considered it’s effect beyond anything but the dodge.
Odds are better that it went something like this:
1: “They said they dont like people dodging all the time, I have no idea what that means since I dont play the game very much”
2: “I’ll give it a timegate like everything else. Surely less player agency is the solution this time”
3: crickets
There was no thought about 2nd or 3rd level effects of this. It was point A and point B and no thought beyond that, or consideration of other game mechanics like 20 different perks that would need rebalancing as a result of their sole trigger condition (dodging) being used less often.
Chances are good this was a knee jerk response to shirking energy which we told them not to put in the game as it was designed, and then they did it anyway.
I don’t run hearty on my DEX Build but hearty might be interesting with new stamina management. I got 1.6k hours in this game all as DEX player. We don’t need all meta build , let people enjoy what they play and stop been so agressive in your response
Dude, I agree 100%. They simply didn’t thought enough before making this change. Refreshing evasion is going to be trash now, on top of a lot of perks and passives!!
You not understand wat it means, on dex you have 3 roling until stamina empty, afyer this pach you still can roll 3 times, if you roll 2 time insta, your stamina start regain after 1 sec( now stamina regen about 0.3 sec after roll).
Now that I think about it, shirking energy is now stupidly more powerful since its a flat stamina gain, and not a regen.
Unless this cooldown applies to stamina gains AND stamina regen, then the light guys who all run shirking energy will still be dodging all over the place and EVERYONE ELSE just got nerfed.
Refreshing evasion was alrdy a meh perk tbh. People won’t dodge less, you just need to dodge more efficiently and wisely

No, refreshing evasion was BIS for a lot of class and primarily to light set players. My set it 5/10 Refreshing evasion and 4/10 Refreshing. I’m probably going to change to 6 Refreshing instead.

The rest of my set is resilient, physical aversion and weapon perks
I rather have gear with freedom / resilient / weapon perk or res / freedom / refreshing ( phys or ele aversion ) than refreshing evasion , always felt underwhelm by that perk. You don’t really need any CDr for spear and I run poison / rapid / pen for bow so no need there either. It’s a good change for good players, I’ll go test it on PTR in a bit anyways I’m on my way home.
You’re going to see that stamina regen was overnerfed now. As a Spear player, you have better stamina regen than most people, so don’t underestimate others saying they’re just noobs who can’t manage their stamina because it’s a real issue.
its ok only a fool will play light in an arena. we can just ignore light armor entirely.
its obviously a really bad change but they won’t listen then change… so… just adapt ur gameplay leaving the bad ones out of cold.
This was implemented because the devs that play using heavy armor great axe could not catch light armor players even with bloodlust.
