2 and 3 Star fishing hotspots don’t work after being fished out ONCE. Currently at level 20 fishing and ALL 2 and 3 star hotspots don’t work for me since I fished them out once. That was last week and I played daily since. Other players see them and have confirmed ingame for me. I also see the animation of fishes jumping from a distance, but once getting close they die out. I tried launching in the spot but it won’t activate. I tried this every day for a week and on all my available 2-3 star spots. They only worked once and that’s it.

It is pretty severe. I wanted to level fishing for a week and I can’t because of this.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
2-3 star fishing spot appears on map for the first time (unlocked from fishing leveling).
Fish out that spot ONCE
Said fishing spot no longer reactivates for me ever. Relogging doesn’t work, across multiple days.
This can happen only with 2 and 3 star spots. It just means you lose the hotspot bonus and it just becomes a normal fishing spot. From what others told me, there’s about a 45-60 min respawn after you fish out a 3 star spot ( I dk about 2 stars).
So just to add to this chain. 1star spot in restless shores is disappearing when i approach it. the 3 star that everyone always fishes near WW doesn’t work for me now either. it’s been a while since I’ve been able to fish that one. Anyone else have this issue?
Have you tried to fish in the spot even though it’s “just squirming water with no fish”? I think I read about something similar where it narrowed down to it being a visual bug and the hotspot actually being there. I think landing the pole in the spot should show “hotspot reached” (or whatever is usually shown when fish are in there).
When you are IG hit K , open the Craftingskills tab and press on fishing.
The Fishing skill level determines how many and which Hotspots you can actually use. If your skill isn’t high enough you won’t be able to see the hotspot when you are up close. Even though the radar and map might show/highlight the spot.
Now 6 days ago you said your fishing is lvl. 20 is this still the case?
I’ve got 81 now and there have been several fishing spots I walked by that I couldn’t use before but they will appear on my map once I’ve hit the skill threshhold to unlock it.
