20 level 33 wolfs dropped 1600+ motes

Can changes like this to drop rates be included in patch notes. Something like this kills anyone that had a buy/sell order. We don’t even need the exact rates but saying something like elemental wolves will drop life motes instead of quints. If anyone had a buy order of life motes they just got screwed out of a couple thousand gold. Additionally, anyone who was able to log on in the middle of the day seeing this could easily make 10-15k gold in that first hour farming the wolves.

for sure, but first I want my money back.

How is it not intended if you need 60-80 motes to make a Quinn and they used to drop 1-2?

The bear in weaver fen drop 120+ motes each. Now all the Earth and Life quint in trading post price has quadruple cuz now everyone know they dont drop quint anymore. And the amount of motes will be nerfed.

I just killed two and only got less then 100 motes each. Does not seem like too many to me. :man_shrugging:

:beers:

oh my bad i have gathering bonus on stregnth and tool

Can you expand? They used to drop 1-2 Quintessences. Now, they’re dropping enough motes that you could make 1 Quintessence with a bit of motes left over. This seems like you didn’t nerf the drop rate much, just gave us the opportunity to earn some Arcana XP refining the motes.

I agree with this assessment. If it were dropping 80-90 quints per kill then we would have a HUGE issue, but 80-90 motes… might be a little high, but not earth shattering.

:beers:

Exactly. But maybe noone knows how many motes are required. It’s better to keep low tier items relevant to the game.

Is it really an exploit ? Previously 1-2 quints (=60-120 motes)

And now 60-120 motes, seems logical for me

You sound like your jewel crafting level and arcane crafting levels are less than 100 if you find this logical

no my maths are just good because it’s exactly the same

1-2 quint = 60-120 motes thx maths

cant compare mote with quin even the amount needed is the same. Instead the problem is when a large amount of mote enters the market it will kill the economy.

Motes itself wont kill the economy, with your logic anything with abundance of resources wouldve killed it, like iron ores, oh wait.

The economy will be slowly killed by the linked trading posts. Not by the abundance of life motes.

And now if we need quint we need to transform it so we need to pay tax. So for me in need of quint it was already a nerf

you’re absolutely right, motes droprate was fine as it is

They are nerfing the Motes drops as part of making the tuning orbs for expedition “cheaper”

You forgot the /S or your bib, whichever.

Why did you do that to us you monster, droprates were alright
