Everything that the actual veterans of this game have predicted has come true about limiting dungeons. Shard prices have skyrocketed and all of the real teams are too concerned with the fear of going over 25 runs to hang out with the rest of the server for free. Not to mention all of your games best customers are now playing other games to either fill the time or as a direct replacement at an alarming rate.
AGS stop gatekeeping in an open world game, by doing so in the first place implies that you dont even know what type of game it is that you are currently developing content for. Its a bit embarrassing to be a part of if you want complete honesty, mainly due to the fact that most of us have several friends who we have played with over the years who check in every month or so asking if this game is finally solid enough to play. Most of us would love to be able to at least tell them that while the game is still a bit rough, it is headed in the right direction and that is a laughable thought with you limiting the only good content that sets this game apart.
Here is an example of what i have to explain to one of those friends when they come to me these days. -
“New world is an amazingly fun game to play on the way up, however once you reach end game there is not enough to make it worth your time. It will take you well over 200 hours(with a serious amount of help from me) to make it to the same level as everyone else who can run the top tier dungeons, and once you make it there you will be left to pug since all of the top teams are filled. Since some weeks we get dungeons that we complete in 15 minutes, and they limit us to 25 dungeons per week that means that your end game playtime if you are mostly interested in pve will be restricted to around 6 TOTAL hours for the entire week. If you are looking for a solid home with a great end game system you will unfortunately have to keep looking for now.”
I personally believe that m10 should not win more than 10 times the fragments that m1, given that limit, can regulate the rest. I have no problem that they can sell fragments, but that the sale is for TP. Adjust the taxes if you want, but stop selling through general chat. If this is not the case, then they must prohibit the sale of fragments and make them non-transferable.
The cap on mutations needs to be removed. They should just lower the rates of good drops after a certain number are completed. All the cap does is make it so newer players have a harder time getting groups for mutations because no one wants to waste their uses by doing a low level mutation. Then there are also fewer groups going around because people get capped out, can no longer help their friends or company. There are a limited number of viable tanks for example, and having them all capped at 25 means no one else can do the mutation. This is a bad design.
