This game was designed for max 2000 players per server xD and servers can’t even handle well 2500 players so I wouldn’t expect higher players cap.
I don’t get it why you continue to compare New World to other mmo’s and try to hold it against nonexistent standard? You are too focused on player cap number when you should be focusing on the reasons why it’s there in the first place.
He just wants a Lost Ark clone
new world servers don’t need that many to get the feel of an mmo.
i mean every time you visit a town you see more people than you would in most mmo’s except maybe gw2 at any given time. even if you could have 2k people on screen right now what would they do?
I would only touch that server cap after the game client does a better job, both the render and the sound engine could use some work.
then why is there no OPR after 2 am for example? any other mmo you can play and do whatever at any time of the day
So, you’d rather have empty, deserted worlds where you are instanced in with a few people? Just to have some meaningless high concurrent player figure?
Beautiful mmo. 2500 players per server is excellent.
because it’s bad?
An mmo with full player player collision and aim style action combat in 2022 with 2500 players is an engineering marvel…
too bad the direction of the content is completely wrong…
Well, I don’t wait in queues on Castle of Steel or Valhalla…let’s open them of 10k on each…no resources to farm then and of course the price of all items will skyrocket.
no…instances can be zone based and can have several hundreads of players…and the point is to raise the pop cap to reduce queeus and have mor epeople to play with
so…you guys prefer to have high queue times, and dead play times while online…noted…go figure this ags copium…
this game needs higher pop per server and CROSS server queues or it wont last long…the downfall of population in 1 year post launch is already record breaking and the tendency is to keep going down…
i can see Wildstar happening again…
Its odd not having everything instanced cross server. Which includes dungeons, arena & OPR.
Zero reason not to do it. The social aspect is a myth. Spamming a channel instead of using a “tool” is not social.
What a bunch of bs.
The community part is likely one the biggest reasons people really nolife NW. It’s something mmo’s after early 2000’s weren’t able to deliver.
You’d have the same community aspect as you’d have in Lost Ark.
noone. No talking to your guild. No talking to anyone. Add a dps meter and then you got the perfect game where you wouldn’t talk or interact to/with anyone for an entire year playing
Easiest way to kill off world PvP entirely, just switch zones
.
just your limited experience and no standards. Gotcha.
or they just dont want to do so based on the last round of hate they got from players that didnt like queues, dead servers and mergers and left anyway.
what matters is how things are balanced vs the number of people.
And so far I feel that 2500 is a bit too much for the world as it is.
