Bots in most games get banned in waves. They turn on telemetry tracking on those players to try to determine the bots so their anti bot measures can be improved.
I’ve reported a level 12 bot that significantly undercuts the market every day for weeks now. Nothing happens. So real players get banned for no reason but bots are safe it seems. Make it make sense
Negative. I am not in a company and do not wish to be. People send me requests all the time and I politely decline.
Yes bots are an issue, no you should not be using broad statements like this to get waves of people banned.
AGS needs to put GM’s in the game that just play and monitor chat. They have the advantage of data and could easily just watch the main farming routes. Whisper someone and see if they respond. If not they get dealt with.
I’m a lvl 60 and only just recently joined company. I farm the same area at 6am everyday. I have become so good at it that I probably look like a bot to other players. Perhaps these people aren’t being banned is because their not bots. I also undercut the market all the time.
Dont be naive man. Do you also go and spam harvest a node that someone is already harvesting until they are done? Then once done follow you to the next node and do the same exact thing? Then take a sharp turn to a node and once again DO THE SAME THING.
The bots are obvious, it isnt someone who gets on at 6 am to harvest in a game.
So you spend the day posting 1 item up for sale at a low price to trick people into posting bulk items for a low price so that you can buy them to resell? This bot posts 1 ore or whichever raw resource for 0.05c when the actual price is much higher to do exactly this.
I don’t mean undercut by selling ironhide for 0.09 when the highest price is 0.1.
I know there are bots, I’m just saying probably less than than what’s being reported. Be real with yourself most people who make these threads are butt hurt over losing that last node.
I haven’t seen this on my server, and I’m heavy in the TP. Be more specific with your original post.
Who is hurt over nodes? I clipped 4 bots today alone, been on for like…2 hours? lol.
Silk seems to be bot heaven as I can basically watch them race each other following the same exact pathing and turns lol. That being said I will gladly take any silk spot advice, because it seems to be ran through heavily.
If you mean south of morningdale yes there is a lot of competition. From what I can tell they are real players though. Supplement the silk in that area for fire motes, and hemp. I always make money there regardless.
Saw it in mourningdale and brightwood. Basically anywhere that has more than like 3 nodes lol. I get what you are saying, not everyone is a bot. But it is VERY obvious when there are bots, you can add me and ill stream them for you if youd like.
You have nothing to prove to me, send it over to the devs. I’m all for less bots, just dont think there are as many as you think.
I mean I know someone who does this and I can guarantee they are not a robot. While I have no idea about your server… some of them are most likely humans messing with the AH.
I think a lot of people forget it’s not just the bots that are the problem, but also those accounts that run in shifts and are on almost all day. Yes there is a person/s running it, but you know it’s RMT farmers plain and simple and sometimes yes they will run as a bot too, I have seen both. These players run the same account between several players, sometimes they will have multiple accounts that do this as well so you don’t always see the same names. Regardless, I’m not sure how hard it would be to ban these types of players as well, they would have to monitor them in several intervals to see the amount of time they are online and if they can also see how many different IPs sign into the same account.
I actually got a pair of farmers from Indonesia to talk to me about it for the better part of an hour. Where they live work is scarce so they will fight tooth and nail to keep this up and running as long as they can to make a living. It’s local sourced as well, which means they could even be operating the selling site or have a bigger hand in it.
Oh and I did not report them because when I showed up to the node spot, one of them just sat there and talked while the other one and I split the nodes. 1st time I had a farmer do that so I left them alone in that regard.
It really depends on the server and region as well, seems like US-EAST servers have the most bots that I have seen from various posts in the forums alone, most of those who say they have not seen a lot are not from that region.
Sorry I meant faction.
It’s obivous who is a bot and who is a person. A bot farms the same route on repeat, then runs into town and deposits the goods, then goes back out. They run to a node, try to farm it even if you have run ahead of them and started farming it or if it has been farmed out already, then stop for a few seconds and run to the next node. Depending on how long they have been operating these things get up into even the high levels or low 40s just from gathering exp.
Real people playing the game level up though. You don’t even have to do much to level up. This bot has been level 12 for weeks, implying that it does not move at all from the trade post.
It has blocked all forms of contact, DM’s, group invites and trade invites.
Only 3 bots? I have been reporting the same bots for weeks on El Dorado, at one point there were 31 bots online that I had reported. One bot in particular has been reported going on 7 weeks now. Truly PATHETIC inaction from amateur game studios.
I think you need to report bots closer to 150-200 times in a certain time frame (like about a week).
