I have a team member with two characters, who we the last days worked hard together on the new server FAE to level up to close 30. This morning I got a phonecall from my friend saying that his character had been deleted with no further notice. When I arrived home and started to play with him he had reached around level 10 on a new character then suddenly in game while we were playing together that was deleted too. We started over again and leveled up to 12 and all of a sudden that was deleted as well. now my friend can’t create more characters until within 13 hours. Why is this happening without further notice? My friend is worried that his level 60 character we worked on for a year will be deleted too.
We discussed a lot if it could be the name of the character or something else but still we find it hard to be the case without further notice to change name.
Please help us understand.

If your username was inappropriate, they give you the option to change it. They don’t outright delete characters like that. You’ll need to contact support to figure out why.
Exactly JakeL. We had another member who had a name change and his characters were not deleted immediatly. So its more likely another issue.
I’ve never heard of anything like this so you’ll have to have the user contact support through a web ticket with all of the details.
Those that have inappropriate names should be given the opportunity to buy name change tokens or by themself delete their characters if they are locked and create new with more appropriate names
Users who have inappropriate names are offered name changes when they log in next. Characters are not deleted for inappropriate names as far as I’m aware.

Yes that’s what I have been told before how they manage it. But as for my friend his character have been wiped completely. And if I don’t remember wrong A year ago he had similar problems when starting the game that the characters were deleted.
I’d first suggest not using inappropriate names, but no one on the forums can help with this issue. The person who is having this issue will need to go through the normal AGS support. Contact Us | Amazon Games
