300 con Grit vs 300 Str Grit

So now your massive nerf to strength based melee builds is being misrepresented as “balance”?

A change that breaks an entire archetype of builds in both pve and pvp, is not balanced by a change that makes pve a little easier (if at all) for one specific build.

5% damage buff is a 50 stat point perk already which shows how NOT VALUABLE it is.

Nothing you’ve mentioned is anywhere near the value of a 300 stat point perk. A stacking 10% would still not be close when you can’t get stacks because you’re interrupted all the time doing the only thing you’re supposed to be doing. There is already a stacking perk like that for GA and very few people take it because it’s crap and the way you need to play as a bruiser negates the chances of repeatedly landing attacks to get those stacks up.

You keep acting like these changes you want would only apply to PvE and we know that is a bunch of BS.

Because of the prevalence of CC stuns and roots in PVP where bruisers are actually the most used, you cannot be standing motionless attacking people and “stacking up that buff” or you will get locked down and obliterated in seconds.

Melee DPS does burst damage and then dodges out, and then goes back in and does more burst damage. We don’t stand there clicking over and over, contrary to the lies that people keep telling about the mythical brainless left mouse spammer who is invincible or whatever.

That idea of a bruiser is a nonsense anecdote that doesn’t really occur in this game and hasn’t for months since they nerfed the GA lunge distance to less than the actual length of the weapon.

You keep pretending its all about PvE and conveniently never mentioning the affects of other players on a bruiser, to disguise the massive PvP nerf you want to strength based melee users, but nobody else is laboring under that illusion. Just you.

Difference between a Melee Dps with Grit vs a Melee Dps with 5% Damage increase is 5 % Damage increase or a stackable Dmg up to 10% for 5 Seconds. Jesus.

Funny you say you have no issues doing m10 as a tank. Why do you want this change so badly then? All that effort you’ve made surely must be for some reason.

the desync is solved for me so there is no point to putting 300 str for a tank, i play 250 str, 250 con and its fine. The grit will be useless if you play as a tank because you will hold shield up all the time. That’s my point of view

Zelme, please pass on the suggestion for Damage Reflection as 300 CON passive. Grit is not needed for a tank, as they will primarily be holding a shield up and this exacerbates the issue of killing a tank in PvP.

Instead, Damage Reflection can be scaled in two ways: % reflected based on stamina damage taken during blocking (10 damage per 1 stamina) and % of health lost (5-10% of damage taken is reflected to the attacker).

This would be a fix to the issue of tanks not getting damage needed to score in events such as OPR and Wars, as well as getting credit for mobs they are tanking in PvE.

Nobody uses tanks in war still because what you need is damage on point to win is not about tanking the point that’s never going to happen with all the damage that we have in the game from weapons….

The abilities are a bit overtuned possibly, but what really makes it op is the fact that someone can stand there swinging a weapon and be immune to all knock backs. This is low skill and very simple to use, while other people need to learn how to perfectly time there abilities and manage to hit some one with them, and all a str user had to do was a regular light attack to dodge it. This is unreasonable

Well I still shit on ga/wh players using spear and it doesn’t use grit I don’t think grit is the problem that will make the melee pvp horrible when it comes to stuns is meant to be like that so fights are not you getting knock down every time…

He can be swinging his weapon still that won’t make him win the battle tho if you lose to a melee using basics attacks you need to get better with all the mobility on light armor you can literally bully a ga/wh really easy using other weapons

to much stagger to cast spells when a melee is on you, is the reason for the high mobility Meta ??? remove a problem and maybe some mages would stand there ground and blast away in a kill or be killed method ?

That’s the problem a melee shouldn’t be on you if you play your distance is pretty easy to kill a melee without even getting that much damage we don’t need mages tanks negating all kinds of cc
Because they already have crazy mobility even more with new perks that doesn’t make sense

I think you are missing the point. I did not say I was losing to someone simply swinging their weapon, what I am saying is that the weapon is op because the ability to eat all incoming disrupts by simply doing normal attacks is low skill. It does not matter if a good player can beat them in certain situations or not. The fact that they simply get unlimited knockback resistance just by normal attacking is not a balanced attribute, especially when you compare it to dexterity: One guaranteed crit every 8 seconds after a dodge… but strength gets unlimited grit on every regular attack?! As a dex player I need to pay attention and time this in battles, but a str user can run in and just swing wildly to proc their ability. Any reasonable, non-biased person can you look at that and realize that this not balanced…. Also as a bow player I play up close with low con, and there is already a lot working against me, the fact that a ga user can eat my stuns, and the str user gets no cooldown for that, but I have to wait like 15+ seconds for my cool down to get another chance at knocking him back in unreasonable. Also, I get an automatic root after my regular shots, so landing a stun/knock back is important. Plus, bow shots are already harder to land than other ranged weapons, so I play close to actually land my shots consistently. All in all, A dex/bow player is at an extreme disadvantage. If there are two people fighting at equal level, one has a light armor dex build and one has a str build, the strength build should win. The dex/bow player has to be significantly better at playing the game with their timing, aim, and strategy to win, but a str user does not need to do this at the same level. At a competitive level it is never an equal fight, and that is why you see so many str users in wars and in opr…

You keep saying the same and I already told you with current meta you can beat a str really easy if you play bow even mages light mobility is just insane bow damage also is really good people trying to put a skill gap on a ga when what are you supposed to do is swing a axe what other things should they tho? You still have to aim with your axe you barely hit your basics using ga vs light armor now imagine not hitting basics from a str user plus getting nock down every time is just stupid grit is for close fights you shouldn’t be playing vs a ga close range and expect to win…
