I know that this has been an on and off suggestion, but I’m going to put this back out there. With all the changes that are happening to healers with being constantly being cc’d and locked as well as the needs to healing in certain armors and the LE casting time could we get if you spec 300 in Focus to add grit when casting. I think this would be a HUGE bonus to healers.
Hot take: Get rid of stat perk milestones so that people stop using the same boring builds.

There should be a separate way to gain those perks, separate stat page with a choose 5, 2 minor, 2 major and 1 elite. Something something progression path. Separate from regular stats.

My suggestion would make it better though.
Milestone perks remove freedom of choice from the equation as players are drastically weaker if they don’t build into specific perks. This removes the viability of off-meta builds and stagnates character design, making an already shallow combat system even more shallow. It also erases skill-expression on the player’s part.
AGS has a pattern of bloating systems with additional and completely unnecessary features and band-aids when all proponents of good game design advocate for the opposite.
So what healer in light armor is going to want to take the damage from a hit, to get any advantage from having grit?
Riddle me that one.
Grit has a downside. You light up white, and you get hit because you’re stuck in an attack animation and can’t dodge. That’s the price of not being staggered: you take full damage from that hit.
They can in a Sacred Ground while channeling a self-heal?

Maybe just the 300 str perk should be removed, but also there’s way too much cc in this game.

Sure I’ll play, guess you’ve never played a healer, must be one of those sns/bb script players. On any competent server your always the target. Most of the time I’m not being hit, it’s impossible to position yourself perfectly 100%, so if you can get grit and not get stun locked or cc’d then you’d have a chance to escape. Even in light armor I can survive a bit, not long, but at least it would give us a fighting chance.

This would be a decent trade off. Our current 300 FOC perk really sucks.

They don’t want to give anything to healers. Haven’t you been paying attention?
Thats good idea, now healer is forced to play light armor, have short dodge like everyone else, healing less powerfull than before, his casting time is increased also he can’t heal anymore while hiding behind big objects like walls or pillars, so atleast it could help a bit to defend himself or heal other people while others trying to crowd controll him.

Would be so much better to allocate stats how you want, then choose a few bonuses based on how many attribute points you have access to use.
But everyone and their grandma, will choose grit and the dodge crit thing.
Would be nice to not opt to take dodge giving mana, if your using something that doesn’t use mana (rapier and blunderbus being the 2 that comes to mind)
