I think the PTR is going in a great direction and the changes being implemented are great!

Mortal Empowerment
Should never have been a ranged perk, or a perk at all. It heavily insentivises playing as safe as possible and fleeing combat at the hint of danger. This creates an atmosphere of pointing a flashlight at Dex cockroaches in opr, At the first sign of danger the entire team backs up 5 miles. Ranged has very little risk when stacking this, Melee has to actually physically engage on the point to build stacks.

Sword and Shield
Slows make sense being a part of its kit, However combined with the Tracking on light attacks and its current dmg output, sword and shield makes for a fairly oppressing weapon that can cc chain you to the floor. Imagine having charge on hammer. I think reducing the damage and buffing its utility would help push this back into a tank weapon. I feel shields should be reworked entirely, Tower shields should work like defiant stance on greatsword, they passively lower your damage output but your mitigation goes up massively. Shields are heavy, the wind up on CC abilites and leeps needs to be more visualized and projected. Rework the whole thing. Tanks need love.

Greatsword
where to start… The tracking is on par with sword and shield, additionally the blocking on heavy attack is a bit opressive in 3v3s. Other than that seems alright currently.

Blunderbuss
Azoth blast currently does 90% stam dmg to shields, it is the only weapon in the game where you can drop every cooldown on it near instantaneously in a burst. between providing 50% fortify and massive utility, I believe simply putting a slight delay between abilities is all it needs. Some window to escape an ability dump.

Firestaff
Flamethrower is opressive, It hits like a wet napkin, Buff it Mages need love.

Ice Gauntlet
For a game with no tab targeting wtf is this auto aiming pylon minion doing here, other than that its perfect. Rework that boy

Void Gauntlet
Father what am I? The halo sword debuff machine, Very opressive heal negation and root, but not enough mobility to be viable on anything other than war tanks and pve healers. Struggles to find what this weapons corely supposed to do.

Rapier
in a good place

Hammer
in a good place

Hatchet
defy death is very aggravating, keep the defy death, remove the haste provided by it. Someone can survive temporarily but needs to eventually have the prospect of being chased down.

Greataxe
Fix Grave Well proccing 3x

Spear
In a good place, replace leeching cyclone for maybe some mobility, maybe a running spear charge?

Lifestaff
IDEK rework the healing system entirely? Team color Sacred grounds when?

Light Armor is in a good place now
Medium Armor is in a good place now
Heavy Armor need to have its dmg mitigation increased by 15%

Devs, please don’t touch Leeching Cyclone

na it sucks give us something good. Time to give them spear users a spear rush, that interrupts targets and charges forward 10m

I think mortal empowerment should be removed for the reasons you stated.

I think sword and shield is fine as it is if you’re running a round shield, as it should be the DPS option IMO. Kite and tower shields should probably have a longer wind up for a more potent cc. Whether this is reducing round shields currently or extending it on kite/tower shields I’m not sure.

I do think the slow and reduced dodge distance should have a small cooldown. To allow the potential for escape. It feels reasonably fine in a 1 v 1, but hopeless if more than 1 melee player is on you. They can stay on top of you with just left clicks currently. Perhaps even if freedom extended to reducing this effect.
