They CANT keep the servers up with this, they will most likely gonna have to do a rollback to just before the patch went live. Keeping the servers up after this would mean the game wont exist next week.

Fistrly, it would have been nice if they were smart enough to TEST the refunding system before implementing it.
Secondly, they should have done it over night, local time or early in the morning wen there arent many ppl playing.
So thanks to there incompetence, neglect and lack of respect for us, the servers are down sinve 5pm to god knows wen.

I think the fact that disappoints me the most is that this game has potential.
And, being one of the ones who did not receive any compensation, I am quite upset because this morning after maintenance I was able to find a kind soul who helped me through some of the end game side quests in the elite zones. The thought of having to do everything from scratch annoys me.
I believe I will leave the game installed and wait for better times. Have lots of other games to try (still subbed to wow and ff14 in case I get nostalgia)

mate, they sold this product globally… what is not working correctly. If im not mistaken, i’ve bought a game. not sign a contract as a Game Tester, or did i miss somthing?

They do not need the unlimited resources, they are part of a company that has insane resources and insane experience with server infrastructure, so there is certainly more than enough experienced people who are able to work on this project.
This is not an indie developer studio.
Kuanti, we have paid for a product and with it the right to use it as intended. This week we have had three consecutive days that we have not been able to use said product as expected. And this is not new.
Go buy a product, for daily use, and when it starts to fail every day, just when you want to use it, come back and tell me what’s what.
Amazon has a number of safeguards for its customers. And when the product you buy on Amazon does not meet your expectations, they have methods to compensate those customers.
This is another Amazon product, which has a lot of potentials but is poorly managed. I think we deserve first an apology, then an explanation, followed by a solution and in any case compensation for not being able to use not once but repeatedly a product that is not meeting expectations.

Thirdly, if your patch breaks stuff massively you roll back to the backup made right before the patch and go online again (postponing the patch and its problems). This way you are up faster and players can play while the devs can figure the bug out.

Nah, the patch from this morning/night depending on your timezone where they screwed the gold compensation and unleashed all the events you are seeing atm.

well true but the server infrastructure isnt their problem. They are in a continuous exploit problem which leads to deep sitting changes which can lead to other big changes its like a butterfly effect. They are struggling atm with satisfying ppl by fixing problems and adding new stuff in which the new stuff contains more bugs.
And then u have the dying server and the HUGE demand of the merges, do u even know what such a merge needs for to be done? I clearly dont wanna be on their position rn cus i bet they are dont even so good paid and under big pressure atm. And I and U? We could open a beer sit back play smth else and come back when the shitstorm is over.

They have no backup, if it was servers where up long time ago. Is silence of the lambs because they don’t know what is the correct choice to make now.
You realize that modern systems are allowing to trace each transaction? Also this should have been catched within minutes as this is deployed by developers and they can instantly revert the transactions.
Remember we live 2021, not in the 2000s where MMOs got popular. We came a looooooooooooooong way since then.
No one in his right mind would apply a patch to a live server without doing a DB backup.
But we know by now that they don’t tend to follow industry standards, so… I’m also 90% sure they don’t have one too lol
