I believe that 04/04 we will have the update. However, should something even more unbelievable happen, I sincerely hope there is a brave soul at AGS to just say “We were wrong, we will not announce a new date until we are sure of the release, thank you”.
Let them cook it in silence while keep the game dead, i mean alive lol.
Give no lifers a reward everyone is laughing of if seen around for cheating, exploiting & toxicity accomplishments can happen only in Amazon world, btw was this 6-7months big update we all waiting for was supposed to be day 1 delivery? NEVER, so idk why peeps still surprised by this years later, is just a “kindly reminder” of how things work around here…

What makes them important is the commitment and time invested to place in one for the title/skin you get for your efforts over months of grinding and burning out when you could have been doing something else more fun with your time. It’s just principal at this point.
The challenge was placed, deadline set, challenge accepted. Now the goalposts are moving around all over the place and it’s total BS. Why would anyone trust putting any effort in the leaderboards in the future now? Waste of time all around from development to player. This game has the worst crafting and gear leveling system I’ve ever seen. Focus more on that instead of creating stupid boring time sinks through leaderboards that you get jerked around on right before they’re supposed to be finished.
Lock or close the leaderboards or give out rewards for top 20/top 100 for screwing so many people over.
I look the Youtube videos with hardcore New World supporter streamers that thy literally cry for the Leaderboard for the last one week already.
It is quite sad that these streamers never rise their voice to mention the main problems of New World but they always say that New World is best, New World like this like that, and thy even make another new mmorpg presentation, these people always bring New World to make comparison in the good side of New World to praise the New World at every possible conditions…
Current New World is exactly the same version of Archeage-1 that New World has the same problems of Archeage in every possible way…
I am really not hyped for this new update where it does not feel like a big update for me that what really this new update brings to this game to solve any problems of this game really?
Does this new update making the majority of companies relevant to offer guild members to do constant regular daily and weekly contents?
Does this new update making factions relevant to make the factions to fight each other?
Does this new update bringing any new pvp and pve content to apply majority of players who do not have a BIS pvp and pve gears?
Does this new update solve the problem of new and returning players to find any normal and low level mutator dungeon problems? I cannot gather shards because of it where I cannot find people to do these dungeons with me. Our EU server is dead… P2W and old players only do M10… I even cannot enjoy dungeons to learn mechanics etc. All old guilds only want geared players for pvp and pve, so thy don’t invite new and returning players…
Noone wants to interact with each other at this game… Fortress Sieges are not exist for %95 of players… For normal new and returning players, how do we enjoy the game? I returned to game like 1 month already and I play solo… I wait hours to get into a few dungeons to do… The chest runs randomly happens… It is literally like we need to live inside of the game in dead servers to do some simple in game activities…
If I mention about the OPR… We always fight against pre-made groups and almost every OPR finishes in 10 minutes for last 2 weeks… Bow kills everyone with 2-3 shots where it does not matter if you are geared or not… There are some toxic builds in Melee that you die in the same manner withing seconds where you cannot run away that one CC and you are defeated…
I have opened a nice thread about what kind of new contents can be bring to make open world pvp and pve relevant for that %95 of players based and companies in the server. However, noone was interested at all…
I really ask again, what this new patch that comes in 4th April will make anything different, except more grind?

This is the chief point here. Leaderboards are an investment, which involves the risk of getting bumped off at the last second, so that means you have to battle constantly to maintain your lead.
The goalposts have been moved so many times, that that expensive, final battle has happened 4 surprise times already, and is almost assuredly going to happen a 5th.
That doesn’t make people want to bother with this challenge if their sunk costs and time aren’t going to be worth anything or respected.

Everyone is looking over the fact that AGS apparently hardcoded their leaderboards end date to corelate with the S1 update which is why they can’t pause leaderboards. It’s kinda hilarious.

What’s hilarious is that you think anyone cares or should care how it’s coded. Poor design doesn’t invalidate anyone’s feelings regarding how this is being handled. It’s poor no matter how you slice it.

Means they release leaderborad without tools allowing to pause them. Plan was to add them later and deploy with season 1 patch. So there would be no problem if they need to pause this in future. Issue is they need it now and they can’t couse code is with patch 
Or care about the Leaderboards either! Nobody I know cares about them at all! What we have been waiting for is the Corrupt bunny event and above all and most importantly is the Gear Set Loadouts. AGS, just give us the Season update without the Leaderboard crud and put it in, well, whenever.

Look around. Plenty of people care about the leaderboards. This entire post is about them. If you only consider “everyone that you know” as your base for arguments and opinions, you’re going to lose a lot in life. Just saying.
