I guess its just impossible to come up with story and content then. because they have to do netcode(that they seemingly still failed)
If you finished all this content already you dont have a normal life… 85% of us are still trying to convince ourselves that end game is fun… meanwhile were stuck at expertise 520 and dont want to do any of the things they tell us to do… I just want to spam expeditions for free get fun gear then try the gear out in OPR prob tell my friends how much fun this game is. DEVS and haters like like nah bro you need to do 5 hours of specific content every day for weeks, if we allow everyone to just run expeditions OHH omg everything will lose value - everything will collapse… ohh my crafting ohh my money ohh my… Dude literally adding a way for thousands of players to gain interest in the game having them on the servers letting them get to 600 and letting them exp the expeditions if that ruins your games value bro your game is already dead… Good luck selling those orbs… hey and thanks for that trade channel so how about that group finder?
side note I dont buy the “other games are to blame for the loss of players” obviously you dont talk to other players. my entire company left is there a new game yes… are they going to come back no… Just want to spam expeditions with my buddies with fun gear… prob is your going to nerf the drops … I just feel like one person on the dev team is some try hard idiot who doesnt understand how bringing a large amount of players back is a positive…

Just popping back in briefly. I keep tabs on NW like that friend you had that where the friendship kinda just decayed because it wasn’t going anywhere. Most recent check was depressing with my old server being 1/4 of what it was right after the merger.
(I uninstalled after the Mutator update literally broke my install… and just didn’t bother reinstalling as all I had been doing for the 3 weeks prior was logging in and burning Refining CDs)
I might reinstall the game once they figure out the desync issue, add cross-region transfers, and add Greatswords.
Just too many times raging out of PvP because of the weapon swap bug. It could be a really fun game, hope it survives long enough.
(If it tells you anything… I’m enjoying the HELL out of DDO… even if it is absolutely nothing like when I first played 14 years ago. It’s basic, but it works.)

i got into DDO a little myself. only problem is it makes me want to play WoW but i am not the type to pay a sub
That’s fair.
DDO is Free… but much of the content is behind paywall so one might as well pay the sub to play more than a few hours.
(And I completely removed WoW from my computer and the payment options from Blizz. They get me back with Worgen Shamans wielding swords (1H or 2H) with a 4th spec for tanking- and since they’re likely to be “maintenance mode” before that happens… I don’t see playing WoW ever again.)
Heh… New World was meant to be the replacement for WoW for me. Go figure.

tbh its kinda crazy it still exists. i feel like its a really niche mmo
and yet here you are…
Right now it has a population somewhere around 2-3k
It’s hard to get new players because there is very little solo content. (There’s plenty of content that can be solo’d… but not by a brand newbie.)
Man I can’t help but absolutely love this game. If it’s copium too me then I’ll take as much as I can get

lets be real bro people didnt kinda go check out LA… they were dying for a new game - most of the servers were abandon the past few weeks. Pretending this was expected and all of this “its just part of the life of an MMO” is really in that "dont look up " category just saying
