I’m sure it’s been said but. The property tax cycle IS 7 days. You can just pay it up to 2 days early if you like.
You don’t lose your storage if you don’t pay taxes, just house recall and trophies.
It’s a bug, most people do loose storage, I did. The idea is you loose access to everything in your house and it’s effects, including storage.
Yes mr troll, I don’t want to work hard in game that is not supposed to be a real life simulator and no mr. troll I am not a gold farmer, sounds boring as hell.
then go play a different genre, this one isnt for you. maybe one of those games where its 90% cinematics and you press F to pay respects?
I don’t believe you, do you have an example of this happening? I have had a house for weeks and when I don’t pay my taxes my storage is unaffected. How do you “loose”(sic) it?
You don’t completely loose it, nor do you loose anything, all you loose is the extra space storage chests give you. You can then only withdrawl untell you reach your limit for the area bank without the chests.
Can someone explain how tax rate work? E.x if i have t4 i have to pay 1.000. if in my own faction it is 30% off and let say town tax is 10% so it is: 1000-30%+10% = 770 per 5 days. or if i am not in same faction it is: 1000+10% = 1100 right? So why am i have to pay 1650 per 5 days??? How this shyt works!!! Explain someone!!! And please dont copy paste the formula from wiki cause it is confusing and too strange. Ohh and i have 23% property reduction!!! so 1000+10%-23% there is no 30 from faction cause green got the FL ====847
Troll is right to a point. This game is heavy on the farming and crafting, there should be some push to get you to do so. Having gold sinks is that push and no you should not be able to do a couple daily quests a day and afford it all. So if just spamming PvP and PvE elite zones is all you are here for, you will be and should be broke.
Yep. Should be weekly or every two weeks.
Paying taxes is the least fun part of real life. And a game is supposed to be fun. They should, obviously not remove it or make it irrelevant, but make it a lighter part of the game experience, at the very least.
I understand why you would try and create a system where people would feel like they HAVE to play, to earn money and pay for their houses. But it’s having the opposite effect for a lot of people.
You are correct of coarse. Just for casuals it’s hard, Challenge should be monsters and other people, not how i’m going to pay rent this week on something i already bought.
Maybe if they said you are renting this house and not buying it?
Don’t have an answer for the problem, but as there are issues with the economy at the moment that AGS is looking into, maybe they will fix it by makeing gold abit easyer get.
While they are at it they should fix the ability to pay taxes remotely while figuring in discounts. Right now if you want your discounts you have to walk all the way from wherever you are to the house to get them. Paying remote costs full price. Working as intended, just to waste more time and add frustration?
How about this, you run x number of town board missions or you pay taxes for the week. A new town board for house owners to supply maintenance materials vs paying tax for upkeep. Have there be an alternate. What gaming enjoyment is lost by removing housing tax? Sorry, not having to pay housing tax takes nothing away from my fun and enjoyment of playing.
No matter what, tax enough to buy more than 2 full houses a year, at minimum, is too much. The maximum should be house value over a year’s time.
If gold deletion is the objective, find other, more interesting and fun ways to accomplish it.
Not go pay your taxes…
I agree. It should be once a week.
I also think you should be able to pre-pay for a few weeks at a time. I would love to pay my rent ahead of time when I do sell something and just know it’s paid.
I haven’t paid my taxes in a while. I can confirm you DO infact lose your storage bonus. When my taxes came due my storage dropped from 2200 to 1100.
First main issue in my opinion is to cap how high taxes can be raised. A few times I have seen housing tax and trading tax set to the extreme 25% or 20%, whatever. This should just not be possible, even 10% tax is nuts at least for housing. Another good option would be the ability to sell your house. That way if the taxes get to high, want to move, or just simply want to stop using that feature your not out what you paid for it. Even if it was for a small loss it would give more options.
You lose your ability to utilize the increased storage, your items will still be there.
Your added storage chest containers get disabled; however your settlement storage will continue to hold excess weight until you remove items.
Selling your house back to the game would be a good feature. Abandoning it is a poor option if you get tired of whoever is running the tower and want to move, or if that town just doesn’t work out for you in the meta.
I was also thinking it would be neat if you could sell deeds to houses in the trading post but that would be a mess to implement. Maybe each house could have a list of people in its menu who are selling that house from lowest to highest price. Then of course there would be people trying to make a profit off their first house discount but really that is on them if they want to waste it isn’t it?
100% agree
