5 days to 625 is wild

So what you are saying is that they are farming all the gypsum emeralds to get the casts, while doing all these dungeon runs to get to 625, withing 50 hours?

Launch and FSS are very different concepts. On launch, no on knew how to level quickly and very few people had established networks with which to do it. It was also a much more time consuming process. You need something like 60% the xp you did at launch to get to 60 and many activities give you between 125% and 200% more xp than they did at launch. It was actually a grind and took even the most dedicated players a week to get there. Thats why there were 30s in wars. Those were the no lifers that got to 30 before wars popped off. There was still a gate for the lvl 15 players. Now, you have people reaching lvl 60 before wars can even be declared. That actually makes some sense, since invasions are impossible before a big group of people get to high level. So territories can’t be maintained until people get there. The point I’m making is that this system where it takes a couple days for a no-lifer and a couple weeks for a casual is much better than it taking a week for the no-lifers and 3 months for the casual.

A lot of brimstone quest give gypsum as well. So does tempest and I believe barn. So they could skip emerald ez and still get shards from caste.

Correct.
People plays compulsively. And some of them need a psychologist.

There are people who played for 24+ hours straight on the first day

Maybe so. Or they could add more things to do in the lower levels like instead of lvl 60 wars we could hav lvl 30 skirmishes around supply wagon trails. Where lower level faction members feel like they are contributing to their faction instead of having the game start at level 60.

But if the game does start at level 60, why even have the leveling system at all and not just have a GEar score system be the progression.

I think eso does something like that where all the mobs are actually the same level and your character kind of gets buffed to normalize them or something. Or equalized some how. Idk what the answer is.

But I do know it feels really really fast to me. And games rushing people to the endgame isn’t sustainable because if the endgame is the actual game and there is only like 3 things to do, that doesn’t feel like something that’ll last.

Look at FFXIV, people finished this last expansion and quit because they feel like the story is done now. NW is supposed to be different in that, the game has all of on the fly user generated content. Wars, open world pvp. Maybe if they lean more into the “users make their own content” model even more by giving us tools to do so, it’ll work out better. Again idk.

24 hrs for one day ain’t so bad.l I reckon lol. Kind of unhealthy yea but eventually they gonna crash or get a blood clot.

The levelling system is a tutorial in an MMO. Its to slowly introduce you to mechanics of the game and to give the player a story line, immersion, and sense of progression. Just having a character with all gear and skills unlocked would be very overwhelming in an MMO. In a game with gathering and an open world, moving up the resource tiers and clearing areas that were previously dangerous feels nice. It is something MMO players like, for the most part, and most see it as pretty critical to a game being considered an MMO, though its not technically necessary.

Anyone with significant play time spends 95% of that time after max level. Having game modes that are tuned to low levels usually only works at launch (or FSS) because after 6 months or so, the vast majority of players on any MMO will be max level. Thats the problem with Invasions. They were supposed to be hard a couple months after launch when people were first learning to manage territories. Now they either need to be made way more difficult to be relevant for most players, at the risk of excluding newer players, or taken of the “To-Do” list of levelled players so that newer players can do it with no stakes.

Yeah I’m good on that lol. Casually got to 60 on day 5 and nearly 200 arcana. I’m ok with that

No one plays 20 hours a day? Loads of people Did 24 hour streams for this event, loads of people pull all nighter and sleep a few hours just to sweat the game as much as possible.

Yes, yes I do. Especially when games used to take hundreds if not thousands (plural).

you the type of people who look at speed runner and think average player are the same, and even if it is, it ain’t your problem. it your fault for not getting as good as them but instead you blame the game being “too fast” man go play a different game

No one is playing 20 hrs a day for 5 days straight man.

people do man. people do

Man them dudes need rehab lol

Wrong man. I haven’t done that for this game. But I’ve definitely done it. I do know people who have for FSS.

That’s your opinion, a pretty shitty judgmental one. I’m sure there are plenty of things in your life we could all trash on you about too.

Well, that sounds like someone who knows what they’re doing and is just doing it again. I just bought this game and while I’ve played other MMO’s (that’s why I’m snooping on the forums). I doubt I’ll reach that anywhere near that so fast. IMO it should take drastically less time for someone who’s already done it and has all the knowledge vs someone like me who’s going in not knowing anything at all just goofing around.

New World is much different like other MMOs they have a Horizontal endgame progressing so you can Play More different builds with Many different Sets.

The endgame is Nearly Open end in my opinion, if u would Grind for DD, Heal, Tank with all different Ward Sets its insane.

So, only one set of 625 is nothing and it was only a challenge Race for the player Thats it.

sorry bro but ive been putting close to 20h a day
