$5.00 Gear Slots ..../sigh

If it was 0.01$ u wouldnt be crying here.

It’s always about the money and to most working adults the price of the loadout set is insegnificant, hence the reason why we dont mind it, since its a nice feature for a insegnificant price.

$5 x 6 Gear Slots is $30… more than i paid for the whole game, so not so insignficant and certanly not a “value for money” offer!
Aside from that Gear Slots do nothing to address the real issue which is the dire inventory/storage system which is the reason I havn’t returned for season 1.

Its also 50% of the cost of a shushi plate that i had for lunch today for example, and thats just one of the 5 meals i have during a working week.

SO yeah pretty insegnificant for a working adult.

I bet that sushi satisfied your hunger. The point I was making is purchasing Gear Slots does not fix the broken inventory/storage, it just saves you a few mouse clicks. I’d rather spend my $30 on another game and maybe get some quality gameplay.

But hey, thanks for supporting new world, hopefully they will spend your cash on fixing the broken stuff.

It did

I too think it does not completely solve the problem… but that is because we cannot buy unlimited amounts of them (or at least 20-30), hopefully they change their minds after all the feedback and unlock this feature.

If you feel like its not worth the value, you should never feel forced to spend… spend ur money on whatever has value for u  for me this is a nice feature and it add a decent amount of convenience for the value and as such is worth it… especially when i look at other stuff that i often need to in order to live my life.

Also I too hope they use at least a fraction of the money they make from season and so on to improve NW, because there is a lot of room for improvement.

Might want to practice what you preach there fellow with comments like AGS is “supporting us”…I mean talk about over dramatization indeed… :joy:

Okay man!. I’ve seen you defend your “click a button” argument since I started this post, and I’ve seen you flame others in this thread like a child. Therefore I’ll close my part of the conversation with you with this…“You spend your money, and I’ll click my buttons a few extra times”,… we can co-exist, and when you and those with your mentality overtake the game, I’ll move on to another. No biggie. Have a nice day sir.

The economy itself is artificial. Inflation impacts everyone, whether their product is physical or not. I’d argue that there are still many overheads to creating computer games and that games like New World are not free of ongoing costs as they continue to work on them.

I do get your point, along with a number of other people who have similar concerns. The thing is, gearsets don’t solve the problem that AGS created. I have purchased all the gearsets in the shop and still have a gear management problem. Did you realise you can’t search in the gearsets for items? I lost a necklace yesterday and finally found it in one of my gearsets. I still have more gear out of the sets than in them. I still can’t find anything in my inventory.

I do like gearsets but I think the problems AGS creates and the items they sell are two different things. The problems still exist, if you don’t have extra gearsets don’t even imagine that your life would be better if you did. It won’t.

Lol, what is dramatic about this game needing servers and servers cost money, AGS pay that money. Tell us why your comments are not over dramatic.

What is dramatic is the idea you are peddling that if ags doesn’t sell gear slots they cant afford to pay server upkeep…like their pencil pushers did include this in their business model before launch.

At this point you are just being a troll so I will repeat practice what you preach.

They just need to make decent cosmetics and the cash will come rolling in, seriously we have had threads on this since launch with loads of people asking for such.

Wow, that is a huge leap from AGS support the players by paying for the servers. It amazes me that you seem to think you know better how AGS should make their money.

And now I am a troll because your argument is so weak. Welcome to the ignore list and Bye Bye

What is amazing is how you don’t see you are doing the same thing but just from the other end of the spectrum AND also adding in how you think we should pay to play this game or otherwise we are scrubs that want stuff handed to us free on a silver platter, maybe you should bugger off and again practice what you preach there weak sauce.

If you’re gonna come in here all judgy like and lacking respect towards your fellow forum user and players of this game you need to expect the same in turn.

Just to refresh your memory on how on implied ags was supporting US and that you felt we we being spoiled by not agreeing that this one QoL thing is a basic game mechanic and should be update free:

Got to be honest here I am real tired of the mods letting slide all these posts calling people privileged, spoiled, entitled, 1st world problems etc etc as every one with two functioning brain cells that has posted more than one week in any forum online knows these are all keywords used to troll, insult and basically look down on others in forums.

I tend to agree with the op.

I know where this is heading though, and am waiting for the 5 dollar extra trophy slots in houses.

Hopefully! Im sure most of us are waiting for something like that, hopefully it will be a token slot that allows us to buy extra houses so we can have a house in each town.

This would fix both the throphy inconvenience and the town buffs
Hope they bring it soon (maybe with the next season)!

Maybe, although the game will most likely be below 10k players in the next 2-3 months. So doubt anything they do to try and make more money will be very successful.

Some money is better then no money.

Since the people that cannot afford the 5 pounds gear loadout slots will not be able to afford the 15 pounds skins anyway (even if they were good) :stuck_out_tongue: and actually since spastic people like to cry in game too, I have seen people respond multiple times they will never spend for skins but they had to problem spending for loudout slots and other convenience purchases such as throphy slots, since they actually give them something unlike skins.

The problem is (for people who don’t buy everything indiscriminately, of course(that would be normal people)) that the majority of skins they sell look worse than the in-game armour sets.

I 100% agree with u on this.

I buy almost everything (I havent tocuhed the things that look like they have been designed while on LSD, like the winter ones, i dislike them and I’m voting with my wallet) because there is a small change that they will decide to improve the character creator(offer more body types) one day, and then I believe most of the skins(and outfits) in game will look significantly better. Plus often enough there will be 1 or 2 piece in a bundle that I actually like the looks off, for example in the latest bundle there is a pair of trousers (that look like jeans with armor on the side) and a pair of boots that i quite liked the design.

If you look at the concept art for most skins they look pretty good, and the only reason for that is that the concept art uses a proper (and often different) body types then the wooden-log looking ones in game.
