590-600 upgrades should be one umbral shard per level

It would be WAY too easy to get 600 leggy named items. You would devalue them so much…

The pice is fine. It hurts to upgrade non 600 items, but its possible, even with playing lower mutations.

I strongly disagree. I hate the umbral shards system but at least this makes some sense. There’s plenty of guys with 59x named items from their pre-patch DGs out there, if they reduced the amount of umbral shards you would see people becoming insanely strong in a matter of a day.

the cost is to low…u get 2 free legendaries 590 → 600 for every m6 run

I pay to watch you do m6 with a full group, where noone has 600 gs+.

Devalue them how? You can’t sell them…

I think for named items that get a bonus perk the current cost is fine. For epic items where they only gain an extra attribute point at 600, the cost needs reducing.

I think the price is absolutely fine for named Items because they get a Perk at 600. It could even be more expensive for those.

But regular Items should not cost as much.

I agree that the current upgrade cost is harsh, considering how much of a pain in the ass it is to get umbrals, due to time gated crap.

BUT, 1 per level? WAY too easy.

why should i do this? m3+ is for premate groups or randoms with high gs

go voidbent, go 600 weapons (i play with the engineer weapons so far) run m1/m2 to upgrade jewellery if u dont wanna buy 600
and then go m3+

It’s very easy to get into 6-7 and then upgrade stuff if you need too. Set your mutation random gear priority so you can push and that’s all.

It is good right now. I easly could take 2-3 items after some dungs.
Why you want everything for free?

Taking purple to gold should need some effort for god’s sake. You couldn’t drop gold cause you are unlucky? OK - upgrade purple but pay some.

I’m thorn on this… I think the price is a little bit too high right now… But it shouldn’t certainly be as low as 1. Maybe a compromise somewhere in the middle.

Forces a PvP-Player to do even more PvE, since there a no rewards for PvP, except in Wars.
Then I need to upgrade at least one PvE set for mutations and then at least one for PvP.
I love to grind more mutations. Said noone ever in NW.

Value isnt just a thing of a “price”… Good stuff should be hard to get, it makes you feel better, if you get it^^

I don’t get it either. Why does it cost more to upgrade from 590-600 than it does 600-610?

Just another of the many questionable game design decisions.

i agree with you, I have now stopped playing because I’m a musket user and cant do mutators at all due to musket being trash in PVE content. I have done 70 + gen runs and not seen a 600 Infamy the best I have is 696 and I need like 250 shards to upgrade to 60 at 3 shards a day from the gypsum box, I don’t run mutators nor do I ever want to as its shit boring scripted fights, I want to push territory, play OPR but because of this patch, I cant play the game how I want to now.

To bridge the 590-600 GS-gap, salvaging named Dungeon items could give umbral shards.
Not a lot but at least some, based on the GS of said item.

Maybe a 590 → 1 shard, 591 ->2, … , 599->10 shards.

This would offset the upgrade price and would make running normal Dungeons interesting again to get to M+.
