625 gs screws the little guy (solution inside)

Do the devs realize the implications of this change?

Let’s look at who benefits and who looses from this change.

Winner: the elite all ready at the top. Primarily the players whose companies own territory and the entire company is running around in 600 GS gear. Paid for by the tax dollars of the little guy.

Losers: the little guys. These are the solo players, the players in small companies. Who if they are lucky have maybe one or two 600 GS items.

The guys who grinded like mad to be able to buy that over priced 590ish epic item. Who carefully curated a set of gear within their budget as the little guy that allowed them to at least be competitive.

The guys who embraced the flexibility of one character who does it all. They levelled every weapon to 20 and have half a dozen armor sets in rotation and 2 or 3 of every weapon for different scenarios. Who obviously could never afford to do so in all 600 GS.

These sets were curated at great expense by the players and now we’re going to invalidate their equipment while at the same time putting the elites on the fast track to 625 GS.

People are understandably upset by this. Invalidating the average guys gear only 3 months from launch, meanwhile rewarding the privileged with an easy path.

This is going to create a huge gap. It will also solidify the hold the big companies have on their territories. The defender all ready has an advantage and now we’re gonna give them an even greater advantage by allowing them to easily out class any challengers.

My solution. Currently expertise caps at 590. That should be the starting point for umbral shards. Eg. A 590 item can use a shard and be able to raise to 615.

This allows the average guy who has spent a small fortune on near 600 gear to upgrade if so desired.

I don’t think the devs have thought this through. The implications are huge. @Luxendra I have never pinged a CM before but i feel strongly about this and hope you could forward this to the right set of eyes for consideration.

Exactly the 1% AGS fed through taxation. I just got voidbent I’d like to enjoy it not get fucked over by increase to GS. Also I’m not maxed expertise I doubt 90% of players are. Let us catch up.

Fix desync, remove bots, rework war so you have a chance to win attack, adjust tax revenue and apologize for the sad overlook even refund us

What about my 589 items? lol I just finished my voidbent armor but my earring and stuff is lower like 560ish. I thought about this and it feels like an increse in GS right now is just to soon.

@mpburch80

I sympathise. I’m one of those guys running a half dozen armor sets, and about 3 dozen weapons.

Trust me probably half my gear is a smidge below 590 so I would still be greatly affected by my proposal.

I went with 590 because thats the current expertise cap. It seemed logical.

i think i spent like, 100k+ on my 590-599 gear, XD, and i’m still not done upgrading. that’s just buying stuff off tp, not crafting. If they don’t change umbral shards to be used for 590+ there’s no way i’m grinding this shit.

With 25 additional points to roll that are capable of rolling legendary expect way more legendary drops A. For yourself when you reach 600+ expertise B. for everyone, meaning market prices on legendary items will drop significantly based off the fact that you will no longer have to get a perfect diceroll 600 to roll a legendary. The problem was there was only 1 roll that made legendaries before. With the change there will be 25 possible roll numbers and the higher your expertise the more roll range dips into legendary numbers.

There’s not as much left as you think mate. There is a war every evening there is no invasion and now buy honing stones, food, oakflesh etc for 50 people

The .1% that already have BIS gear need better gear. Obviously.
