A Change that can balance class distribution in wars

Why STR are so consistent in wars
Str based builds (specifically ga/wh and now GS+ one of the two) are common in wars because of one reason, the 300 str perk. The constant application of perk is a hard counter and hardstop to dex being as competitive in wars.

A general war roster makes up around 15-20 members of the war roster as bruiser, and another 13-15 of them are made up of Life staff. From there we have at 5 igvg players, and some mix dex / other stuff for specific reasons (kill squad, anti siege, repairs, etc).

In an effort to balance out a large amount of this distribution we need to see changes made to the STR- 300 pip.

My suggestion is as follows

  • Your light attacks now have grit. This means that only light attacks, not abilities or heavy attacks have grit to them for str players. This will provide them with some forms of damage, but tone down a large amount of the grit so that dex players can have more room to be better in meta, bringing up the rise of things like spear, rapier, hatchet, and so on.

Back at launch I remember reading the 300str perk and immediately knew in my heart that Str was the best stat lol. Pretty insane how good grit is. To go from playing Jupiter jump simulator to just trucking pvp and pve is such a drastic difference. For the sake of balance and logic I think only heavy swings should have grit.

Just move grit to heavy armor only, rework 300 str perk and problem solved…

This needs to be done asap to stop the drooling spam from light armor users running 300 Str
