A couple of suggestions from an old guy

Hi all, Great game by the way (420+ hours on 4 hours a sleep a night since launch).

As the title says, I am old, and from my perspective NW could use a few of quality of life improvements, and a few things I would find enjoyable.

  1. Inventory. Allow me to lock items in place in a grid in my inventory and storage. I keep all kinds of gear I find interesting, I would prefer to be able to keep my gear I use in certain spots to make it easier to find. Yes this would only save a few seconds when looking for gear, but it would save me countless minutes in a week.

  2. Sneaking. Sneak mechanic indicator for PVE only. I like sneaking around 62+ elites, but life would be more enjoyable if I had a visual clue when stealth is about to break. Either the name going a different color or there outline.

  3. Repairing equipment. I have thousands of crafting materials in my storage, that are not worth much to anyone. If said materials could be used instead of repair parts, it would make them more valuable. The repair cost could be exponentially for tier 5. E.G., a tier 1 life staff cost one briar thorn to repair, a tier 2 cost 10, a tier 3, 25, a tier 4, 50, a tier 5 100. Don’t include rare, epic, or legendary items in repairs, they are at a good place in the economy in my opinion.

  4. Fishing. Fishing areas with out permanent indicators that have better fish like hot spots. Make them random and not show up in the same same location twice in a row. (No idea on how much work this would be)

  5. Treasure hunting. Give me a shovel and a clue, let me find some nice buried treasure. Again, if this could be made random to each location (within reason), it would make the mechanic more satisfying when found.

  6. Salvaging skill. Have a salvaging skill to increase the chance of getting better drops from salvaging high tier items. You could remove the repair parts and gold to offset the change.

  7. Passive tax skill. When I use a workbench or pay housing taxes, let me have a skill experience increase. Even a 1/10th of a percent decrease at 200 skill level would be a good addition. I know the town standing lets you decrease taxes paid, perhaps make it so you can’t go below a certain percent? I am unsure how much of a decrease you can get from increasing town standing. I prefer crafting to questing, so it would add another layer to the game.

Items 3 through 7 would make the game deeper to me. Just some thoughts, thank you for reading.
