Dont take this as criticism, but just a few ideas to make furnishing a more worthwhile time sink.
Make all fabric on furnishing dye-able.
Make all wood stainable
Make metal parts to be crafted out of different metals for different quality.
Instead of a bunch of chests, spread out inventory into different pieces of furniture.
Like food storage requires a root cellar or similar box.
Different armoires for different clothing sets, or perhaps mannequins to display armor sets in home.
Perhaps we can even get our homes up to a level where we can have T5 crafting station built in? Perhaps our own shop front? Like a higher-tier home that comes with a vendor perhaps?
Id like to run a tavern myself, a place to buff before battle and wind down afterwards.
