A *FIX* for high CPU temperature

Go to your POWER OPTIONS from the control panel.

Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > then find “Change advanced power settings” > On the Advanced Settings tab find “Processor power management” > Click the + button to expand and you’ll see Maximum Processor State > CHANGE this to 99% instead of 100%.

You’ll see a HUGE difference on your CPU temperature.
“But 99% is only 1% less than 100% tho” Well yes but no, NEW WORLD is unoptimized so putting it on a 100% makes NEW WORLD use unnecessary amount of power from your CPU, but changing it to 99% will let it use enough power needed to run the game.

My temperature went from almost 80’c to 50’c after changing this setting.
So try it out, if it doesn’t work for you, then you can just change the settings back to 100%.

another more obvious tip that helped me: vacuum the dust out of your pc

I had a thick layer of dust in between the radiator on my liquid cooler & fans. I had to unscrew them to even see it, but I dropped about 15 degrees C after cleaning it out…

For some reason the game likes to draw more power then what you have your limit capped at on your CPU. I have my cap at 90%, but I often see it hitting 92 and 93%
