A lot of errors on Event viewer windows 10

As a title, on Event viewer there are every 5 mins errors

“Session “dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022”

I checked with my clan mates, every people have the same errors when game running.
I don’t think it’s normal

I think almost everyone or everyone is facing the same error (myself included). It seems to be something related with EasyAntiCheat or permissions hurting the PC as it happens every 5 min.

I managed to solve it with the following steps,

1. Close New World and Steam.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World\EasyAntiCheat
3. Execute EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe and click on Repair Service.
4. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World
5. Right click on NewWorldLauncher.exe and go to Properties.
6. Navigate to Compatibility tab.
7. Select Run this program as an administrator and click on Apply.
8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 for C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World\Bin64\NewWorld.exe and C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe

Strange… every friend (12 at the moment including myself) that tried the solution fixed the problem. Make sure that you execute steam.exe, New World.exe and NewWorldLauncher.exe as administrator.

Hi, when I set newworld.exe launcher.exe as admin, the game crash with this error !
“Unexpected steam_appid.txt file found”

EasyAntiCheat repair didnt fix errors.
Checking run as administrator doesnt fix anything also.
And as post above says, you cant put “run as admin” on new world launcher .exe, game wont start with “Unexpected steam_appid.txt file found” error.

Hello MrTomii & Pnr!

steam_appid.txt error is due executing New World as administrator but not Steam. This error is common. Just go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World and delete steam_appid.txt (of course do not try again without Steam in administrator or you will get the same error again).

Referring the main issue, lets do it another way. Find next, screenshots showing how your changes should look like. Please, check that you have the same.

1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\New World\NewWorldLauncher.exe

hello, thanks for the explanation, but unfortunately I had already done so and the game does not start anyway.
even steam gives me an error if I start it from admin
