I enjoy participating in Invasions. It’s quite a good horde mode. My only criticism is that there should be a way you can keep doing them regularly such as a playlist because not everyone can participate when the cap is 50 players. Sometimes I’ll log in and sign up to the invasion then just sit and hope I get chosen, if I don’t then I just log out and play a different game.
Quick PvP matches. Ever since the last opening of server transfers (in March?) I moved to a bigger server and now get OPR games almost immediately after I queue.
I enjoy this a lot. I can jump on at 18:00 and get a 6 - 8 OPR matches in, by 23:00 (depending on the speed on each game).
I suspect I’ll be able to squeeze out more matches in the Arena and if you can implement cross-server matchmaking, it will be a lot faster. Also, a lot more people will be able to experience quick games with more competition.
the drama in general chat and in army chat.
Now seriously, i haven’t logged in for a few weeks, i’m waiting for the next patch to see if the arenas will either bring back the urge to play or gets me even more frustrated due to imbalanceness plus the stuttering/rubber banding/desync and drop the game and for good.
So far i have never stuck to a broken game for so long… must be getting old or something…
I’m enjoying it for what it is. You guys are headed in the right direction but I can say that’s the only reason I continue to play. The atmosphere and music in this game is still the best of any MMO I’ve played. Still so much potential in the game.
Well in that case we can twist it easily and I can say “I like enjoying the game without having to deal with all these things I listed.”
It started out as a PVP war and battle for L territory, but now players are stuck behind the PVE, with tedious PVE keys, slow PVE armor upgrades… In fact, for the time it takes to improve the armor and the tedious key acquisition, I prefer to enjoy the craftsman’s work, which would be perfect if a reinforcement system were added.
In fact, the arena update will not bring back a large number of players, because PVP fans hate to do PVE activities to improve their armor, and when PVE fans are tired of playing, the popularity of the game will not improve
PVE content updates to the war affected the PVP players, PVP players leaving and will affect the interests of the PVE players, this is a vicious circle, you can update the PVP content, also can add PVE content, but do not interfere with each other in this way should be can perfectly solve the problem of off now, suggest you ask for leave more players why leave, thank you
I currently enjoy speedrunning the most and hunting rafflebones, the fact that he could spawn in only 2 places, gives me the same feeling as if you were playing the game for the first time.
I leveled 2x and i must say, i love how you guys overtime developed the story. Sad that we couldnt enjoy it from the start, but it is actually great and well written. I can’t wrap my head around it, but i have run lazarus, genesis and tempest 100x each, just the regular versions, but they are so cohesive and they don’t bore me at all. If i go to WoW and do some mythic + i am bored after 3 or 4, but with my friends in expeditions we just go in, swap builds around and have fun like for 5/6/7 hours straight. I love OPR and look forward to 3 vs 3 arena.
I have one big isseu, i know this might be the wront topic, o well, but new players that reach level 60, start gearscore 500, have almost 0 to no chance to work on expertise through corruption breaches because nobody runs them anymore. I know that is a community thing, but maybee you could more solo instances or for 2 or 3 people with les chests than expeditons but maybee that is how you could do corruptions while solo or undergeared? Just an idea, because in oktober/november i loved doing them, now it’s just there. I love that aspect too, corruptions everywhere that evolves to war. You guys did a great job at the comfort of life department.
So please go on like this and we have a great, great game.
Number one thing I enjoy is PVP and wars (and the community i play with for it).
90% of the most dedicated players I know are PVP’rs, but they all ‘war log’… Essentially they only get on for wars. Why? Theres no other PVP content thats fun. What can we do for more content for PVP’rs that keep them playing longer?
-
OPR = has one map… we’ve been playing the same 1 map non-stop for months. A new map could spice things up. Change the forts/outposts a bit so players can explore and experiment new optimal positioning. ETC
-
OPR REWARDS = They suck. You can get 170-360g after an exhausting 30min fight where you burn through HUNDREDS of gold on consumes… or you could just go do a dungeon to make 1-2kg + sell drops you earned + earn health/mana pots. Its a MASSIVE profit for a 20min investment where you can turn your brain off. Scale up the umbral/gold rewards in OPR. (or give us OPR consumes, similar to arena consumes so that we actually earn a profit playing like dungeons).
-
Open World PVP = this is being addressed with the new fort bonuses, but I’d love to see an open-world PVP event called ‘territory assault’. It’ll happen randomly throughout the day (not during war times though). An area on the map will highlight and players can run there. The longer you stay in the highlighted zone, the more salt/tokens (or maybe even gold, idk) you earn passively. If an enemy faction player steps inside, the rewards stop. It could promote fighting in unique locations like on a bridge over a river, on the rooftops of a small village, or along a cliffside. So many unique playstyles will emerge, and fun new areas to fight.
-
MOCK WARS = Sometimes we just want to ‘run it back’ against the same people after a hard war. Or to practice. Or just … war more. This would be the biggest player-retention you could add to the game.
… Let there be a ‘solo-queue’ option like OPR. Filter 1 lifestaff per group (ideally).
… AND a ‘lobby-mode’ where an army can signup with an ‘army leader’ (like normal wars) and players can be manually chosen from the signups. Then they generate a ‘war/lobby code’ and it can be shared with another player. These players can use the code to get into the same lobby as the slotted army. (think of it as an optional scrim/practice mode for wars) -
5v5 ARENAS = Optional mode alongside 3v3’s. This lets war-groups practice their comms/strats and synergy.
-
CROSS SERVER GAMEPLAY = cross server mock wars, opr, 3v3s, and 5v5s. No server will run out of people to PVP with, even if their server is low pop. There will ALWAYS be OPRs in the middle of the night.
-
OPTIONAL NORMALIZED GEAR = for arenas, opr and mockwars too. Open these PVP modes to players lvl20 and up. Let players build ideal gear they can save to their character (3 different versions) and everytime they queue for those modes, they can choose which set to use. Or let people use their real-gear if desired. Keep open-world PVP and real-wars locked to the gear players earn manually.
-
HASTE/CLEANSE = add haste/cleanse pots to the faction shop
-
RANKED = add ranked arenas. Bronze/silver/gold/exalted
-
Create a “From Scratch” serious netcode of the game if you want people with various pings to co-exist and pvp properly
-
Increase The server Tik rate because the current one is a joke all things considered
-
By all means NERF the heal into the game … heal is meant to help you sustain more damage … no to make you immune to death
-
Re-think of your approach to crafting because currently all you do is literally F**King up the chances by bringing constantly new useless perks into the mix or make it so you can roll for one perk slot on a legendary item with shards or something and make it harsh to go for a roll but give us the option!!!
-
Make it so people wont be able to operate from cell companies to dominate the map with wars while they are actually a single guild … apply rough penalties for whoever is leaving a guild.
-
Prevent enemy factions for Joining wars to assist a side if this is not their faction war
-
Hire someone who knows what balance in an MMO should be in PvP and let him fix the currently Sh*tty situation of the game
-
Stop making the game completely flat and effortless in your attempt to please the easy goers and keep this way your game alive … make the game a better game and repopulate it this way. You have given up completely on the starting design of the game on lots of things and punished this way those who invested time into remaining playing this game.
-
Optimise your bloody client … the game literally underutilizes PC resources and that adds up to your kindergarten Netcode currently running into the game … making the experience unpleasant even if you run a 3090 in your system in situations with a lot going on
-
PROVIDE CLARITY through your UI in things like Luck etc … let us know in detail what runs on us at any given time
-
Put some effort on making the icons above the health bar which are there to indicate buffs debuffs effects etc … to have ALL a unique icon and help you understand what is going on with you at any given time … and by all means FIRE whoever is currently your coder responsible for the continuous bugs ruining the experience “ALWAYS” … you never had a bug free patch so far … that is pathetic!!!
-
Light armor mechanics are broken and you need to take a closer look on it before it is too late
-
Deliver at some point an non Braindead and actually challenging Dungeon where specific armor setup will be essential for its completion … we are not all here in the Braindead pool and some actual meaningful challenge will be appreciated
-
Filter the access on certain events based on someones ping and prevent laggers from ruining the experience for everyone inside that event … a CAP must be in place on certain activities … this is the oldest of the recipes to keep lobbies healthy
-
Make companies unable to have more than 2 territories … this is meant to enforce alliances and make wars more meaningful while factions will have to act like factions and not like a toxic pool of kiddos comparing their D**Ks (One rogue company in a faction can actually destroy the experience of the rest of the guilds on the same faction.
-
Open World PvP needs a rethink … You can have killing people and having them respawning a second later on a tent next to you without you being able to take care of that and push them back … make it so you can actually destroy enemy tents to keep people from abusingly keep respawning there.
-
Make it so … at least when someone is running a PvP mission (influence) that the death penalty will be there and hurt.
-
Bring back the stugger on the Hatchet at least on its third attack (end of light attack sequence) … Destroying weapons does not help with the actual variety and currently you have literally destroyed the hatchet while it is the only Rogue like weapon in the game!
-
Get serious about the game … hire actual professionals on the field to help you get your heads out of your A**es and let this game shine as it was meant to prior to its release
-
Give us a death report so I can know what I died from and change my build accordingly to counter what I am facing … I want to know what damage I did absorb in war when I am dying for example and try to counter it … what amount of ice fire thrust slash etc damage I had on me that lead to my death.
-
The weapon/s you carry on you should dictate your squishiness and be considered as part of the overall maneuverability of your character … you can’t have an 2 hand weapon user run faster than someone who carries a glove for example … make the weapons add to the weight and this way remove the shenanigans from the game that the full community abuses annoyingly (an example would have been that a character in a light gear and carrying a Hammer or an axe should get the Effects of the medium and never the light gear roll or damage boost for example)
Dear @Shadow_Fox I really enjoy “leveling” content, and the only downside from hitting level 60 is that XP no longer has any value. I’ve shared this feedback before, but if there was a system in place for Weapons & Level that would continue to fill up (without really leveling you to 61) and keep XP valuable post level 60, I’d love that.
Also, I think it would be wonderful if open world enemies offered bonus XP for being killed based off of how long they have been spawned in the world, (much like pvp bonus xp works, but for pve)
Fishing, but you won’t buff it! REWARDS ARE TRASH!
At the moment : nothing. I was hopeful for new PTR patch ( I’m a bow main who can’t play war because bow is underperforming in all the departments). Now that you shadow-nerfed bow YET again, my break might be longer. See you NOT in AEthernum
Serious question: what do you enjoy about fishing? Am I missing something? For me, it felt like a terribly boring grind just to get to level 10.
I’m enjoying pushing through the mutations with guild mates. Could it be better or more challenging? Yes. But there is a clear goal and a progression path for the gear so I do appreciate that.
Only other thing I’m really enjoying is some of the community events that have popped up. Cosplay contests, hatchet dodgeball, etc.
I have always like fishing mini games in games Valheim, RuneScape, Skyrim legend of Zelda etc
Agreed
Some of us are just here staring at the storage shed trying to figure out something to do… usually revert to hording resources until we get tired of that too.
Burnt out on:
- Expeditions… I can only do so many hundreds of these. Didn’t even bother going beyond 621… Just can’t bring myself to do anymore. Only a moron would find joy in doing the same damn thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over… and over
- Resource gathering… I can only run around so long looking for resources that have been picked clean by bots and everyone else fighting for the same resources. After a couple of hours of running around with minimal amounts of the resource in your pack… you just lose all taste for it anymore.
- OPR… Yeah… We all know whats up here. Just NO!
- Sieges/Wars… When you can actually get in one without being kicked for someone to take your place. You could even have a 620 set of gear and you still get punted. So no… Its NOT about skill or gear. It’s about pals…
- Sieges/Wars… Now that you have a better chance of getting in them due to the ever leaking population… there aren’t always enough people to participate. sigh Damned if you do… Damned if you dont.
- etc etc etc
Pretty much the whole game is like this. There just isn’t anything fun to do because everything is a grind. A grind within a grind within a grind.
It’s like saving a penny the first day, 2 the next, 3 the next and so forth so in 1 month you have a million $$$. Same idea but nothing of worth and I just dont have the want, the will or the give a damn to do anything in this game anymore.
I’m sure majority of the peeps here, left over, can relate.
If you spoke to anyone in our company (who has been around since Day 1 of NW), they would most likely say the same thing. Community. The unfortunate part is that NW does not have great community elements for comapnies. Everything is small scale. The only large scale content is war, and right now “elite” armies are locking people out of that portion of the game now that servers have shrunk. If it doesn’t get fixed, I’m not sure how much longer communities like ours will be around.
-
Enjoying seeing more of the world (Hit 60 for the first time ever and finally getting into zones I have not yet seen).
-
Exploring every single crevice and corner. Wish we had rewards for this though.
-
Expeditions (also first time ever).
-
Dying gear, finally! (because doing it before 60 is just a waste.)
