not my fault if they still haven’t done the server transfers or increased the capacity. i have almost level 50 and no way imma do that from the beginning and waste around 100h of gameplay like this.
ofc there are empty servers because they have just been added or added lately, where all people already had done their characters and levelled up and shet
my prayers to those playing on that 20h queue time servers
Nah, it’s not quite like those examples. I’d go with the pay $1000 a year and they sold so many subscriptions that you;e in the queue for 5 years before you can get in but still your still expected to pay $1000 a year like everyone else (whether they got in or not).
Adding to the point out. Disney annual passes cost 400-1400 depending on which option. Each type have queue reservation times, and the cheaper ones you have blackout dates and hard times to schedule. You can’t just walk into disney waving your annual pass in the air and expect to get in.
U dont pay extra while waiting to enter the gym. Here u clearly need to because u got costs to keep the PC running for nothing but waiting.
When someone is opening a gym in their garage with 5 exercise equipments and is getting 30 memberships before even opening the garage and 20 of them wanna use it the owner failed to provide enough place for atleast a bigger percentage of the members so that replacement can happen kinda fast. Same for AGS selling over 1 mio copies before release but only having 260k slots.
So yea i would totally insist to use a exercise equipment
new servers ain’t fixing the problem, just trying to patch up a bit.
people that have spent a lot of time on a character or playing with friends somewhere won’t make a new one. they have to expand the capacity of the servers but by a large amount.
right now they have 380k people playing the game (EU) and 118k on queue (almost 30% of players are in queue, doest it look normal to you)
ahhh I dunno. Disney (although they rarely have to) has limited ticket sales to stay within compacity. I see what you’re saying, it’s just your analogy is slightly off. On rare occasions (like Covid restrictions, or construction) Disney has limit the sale of their tickets to maintain good compacity levels for their customers. The whole peak time restrictions are indeed for that reason. What happened with New World is different. They essentially allowed infinite ticket sales to a finite space. It’s why they are now limiting the number of Characters that can be created on a server.
Last time i got queues on a MMORPG in the first week was GW2, queue time being mostly sub 20 mins. Why? Because they actually provided way more slots that kinda fit the preorder sales so the queues were super low. While Amazon a freaking rich company barely provided slots for a quarter of the preorder sales.
Even tho it is common, the current times and are unacceptable because the only reason here is terrible management not the community.
Thats your choice to wait. Waiting is part of the deal in that membership, just like you cant go to the gym when its closed.
I didnt pay to only play in the morning or having to log in 7 hours ahead of time. If AGS cant fix that, im goung afk. Its their problem, not mine.
I know its a new game and I dont mind a little queue in prime time, but having to log in at noon, to play i the evening is ridiculous
So, on rare occasions (like initial launch of a new game) Amazon has limit the access to servers to maintain good compacity levels for their customers.
I guess you can see it that way. I can see it that way too however like I mentioned they did make the mistake of allowing too many characters to be created on a server leading to long queues and as a result, are now limiting character creation.
Ye its possible my mate is 41 and does not afk. Just starts playing 4am plays till 8pm every day. Perks of habing time off work. Gotten to lvl 30 ez myself with queue’s Just sleerp in queue play when in.
i said that it’s not possible to do 6-8 hours queue to join a game.
last week i took vacations to play this game so didn’t had many queues but still that’s not your business how much i play.
if you aren’t level 50 or anything close because you like to cut woods it’s not my business instead.
having to log in at 1PM to start playing at 7PM it’s not normal. Amazon could see the number of preorders and probably the region, saying that they weren’t expecting all these players is like when your granma is gifting you 50€ and you have to act like you weren’t expecting it.
BTW: in the gymn or disneyland or w/e queues are (also) due to Covid, i’d like to see if my character can have it from staying to close to another one. just don’t take irl activities as a meter of paragon.
Being able to reserve time wise would be a very good solution for queues, while it would likely not remove them, it would allow people to plan ahead in a better way. As it stands, i don’t know if i will be in queue for 1 hour or 5.
