A quick comparison of levelling up Engineering from 100 to 165 before and after the patch

Wow that’s insane… for me as a person who has only like 1 or max 2 hours a day, after work, house work, kid, basically rl, and in the time I want to enjoy a game. I’m NOT expecting to be max lvl with max lvl Jobs with max lvl gear with my limited play time, but if you see the amount of items you need to farm is insane, it’s just like another work … that’s not fun!! In what world the dev people sitting together in a round to talk about patches and someone suggested this change and the others were like “great change all will love it” like wtf, did the devs even look at the amount?! Hundred thousands?! To that in which storage I’m supposed to put that all, haha.

The best thing they could have done is to scale down the XP on low tier crafts the higher lvl your crafting is.
That way you are forced to lvl crafting with the highest tier availabel for your crafting lvl.
Also if you craft thing that are 50 lvls below your crafting lvl you should t get any crafting XP at al.

No, working in HR makes you talk down to people. It makes you non human.

I’ve been trying. Farmed 600+ Ironwood PLANKS and made tons of Bows. it barely moved from 178 → 182ish. That was a lot of hours of farming wood. Can’t wait to have to do it 12 more times. But wait, wyrdwoods been disabled for almost a week now. This game sucks…

Curious about where folks are finding high enough tier work stations since patch 1.1?

that is one of the things their did, lower tier crafts then your current skill level gives less exp, its also a dumb change when many servers don’t even have the correct available crafting stations.

the higher craft also makes crafting leveling 10 times more expensive then before, when people who got crafting up first made 10x times or more then people leveling crafting now.
Its complete insanity someone went herpa derpa

Crafting in this game is ridiculous …

As I try to keep my crafting relevent to my level I’m almost exclusively farming and only did the 1-25 quests at level 48.
I’ve set my goals to get the shiny weapons level 49 (140 engineering and weaponsmith) but at this pace I’ll be level 60 before getting 140 in engineering and weaponsmith.

For hours I farm starmetal and others to craft 40 something rapiers only to level weaponsmith from 111 to 115 (that around 3000 gold worth)

I have 11k gold, don’t own a house, if I buy from the auction house I’ll need more than 3 times my total gold in order to get the weapons, if I farm for days I’ll be 60 before being able to craft them.

Storage and looking for T4/T5 stations is a nightmare

I’m just discouraged.

Wait till you find out that going from level 150 to 200 is about the same amount of XP as going from 0 to 150

or to set up mentality you need the boost potion sold in RM->currency cash shop

the arcana potion change is a joke too, needing that much hyssop is aggravating.

Some servers really struggle with keeping tier 5 stations for sure

Being able to reliably grind your proffession to max level by only crafting Gunpowder was too stupid, I don’t even know how you can cry about not being able to do it anymore.

Like idk THINK for a sec. Do you think you are actually becoming a better ingeneer because you crafted 10,000 time that thing you already learned how to craft when you were a newbie in ingineering ?? Spoiler : NO. You just became very good at crafting Gunpowder that’s all, but you are definitely not a Master Ingineer…

I know it sound quite too much RP, but being able to grind profession while only crafting basic stuff over and over again was a major flaw in the Profession system that is now fixed. Sure it’s frustrating that people exploited that flaw to get to max level and those who didn’t now need to go the hard way, but it was a necessary change.

The only option you have left is to train your individual professions with your clan / friends.
So if you are 3 people, one of you collects the wood, the other the iron, etc.

And then get banned for exchanging large quantities of items with other players

Plus your website if flawed aswell since it doesn’t take yield in account.
Like it assume you need 3 iron ingot and 1 Flux to craft 1 Steel Ingot while in facts, you only need half of it since you craft 2. And this major Flaw that lazy guys who created this website included in it repeat in every link of the chain all the way to Orichalcum.

You don’t need 2x2x3 = 12 Iron Ingot to craft 1 Orichalcum Ingot. You need 1.5x1.5x1.8 = 4 Iron Ingot which is quite not exactly the same right ??

Plus I’d like to add that with underpriced refining component and raw T4/T5 ore (they use to be very very cheap for Silk and Leather especially) it was much much more reliable to craft higher tier item than blindly follow guides telling you to buy gazillion of Linen at the TP, following that flawed website theimself and leading people into the ruin.

PS: It’s even worst that you think it is for Weaving/Leatherworking/Woodworking since you also get +10% yield from the set and this +10% yield, once again, apply to every single link of the chain ! Such that it’s all the way down to ~3.4 Corse leather for a single infused leather. It’s almost 4 time (4 time !!!) less than what this stupid website pretend. meh

DO u realize that comparison doesn’t make sense if u have unlocked higher recipes? Because the point of the changes was exacly that, penalize lower level recipes crafting.

I tested doing 10 crafted of a lower recipe total 20000x and just 2 of the most higher lvl recipe i had, also 20000x and the last moved my engineering pointer 5x more.

you should play outpost, do dungeons, gather coins and buy already crafted items, is that simple

Ha… I just did that about 6 times yesterday. It indeed sucks.

We all know that leveling profession was a joke. This is a great nerf
