I have the same issue - any ETA on a fix ?
Even if you get into the motherwell and kill the guardian you cant finish the quest. Youre supposed to blight the motherwell after killing the guardian and without the quest in your journal you cant. Ive already tried.
Same still trying to be patient and wait but, this being an issue that has been around for over a year is worrying.
I read this post a week ago I think she did something about it but as usual. I am curious how much we still have to wait, and this is not a problem that you can see sideways!

Hello, I have the same problem. When I come to Adrianna I hear the same as when I receive a quest, but I can’t accept it. Have they still not solved anything on this topic?

@Critias Any chance we’ll see a fix on the next update, which I’m guessing might come on Nov 2nd with the fresh world servers? Seeing a lot of my friends enjoying the new Brimstone area and quest line. Meanwhile I’m sitting on the sidelines like the only boy at the dance without a dance partner. It really sucks…
Yes, sorry for slow response, but we did confirm a solution - this issue should be addressed in the next update.

Hopefully it goes smooth. Getting kinda stale for people who can’t progress in brimstone.
I hope they are going to include it in the fresh server role out rather than make us wait for another month.

Can confirm here as well. Finally we can continue with the MSQ! 
Can also confirm it does work now. It reset the quest i just had to go and grab it again. Didnt have it in journal it was on map
