Nah it was pretty much advertised as PvP centric. Im not a big PvPer (mostly because im 58 and my vision is bad and I have arthritis in both hands) but I give it my best. I would tell PVErs they should practice what they preach. I know weve all seen PVE MMO forums with the PvPrs pushing the PvP agenda and are told “This is not a PvP game”
This actually is PvP centric game with elements of PVE so I expected this game would cater more to that and it does as the 30% luck bonus shows.
I dont mind the 30% because its not like theyre gonna wear a harvesting gear if they are in a busy area. So theres a downside for them. So Im not butt hurt really.
Well making people mining ore nodes non stop isnt pvp centric move, its pve centric move, pvpers want small and big scale pvp fights , not mining nodes neither gang people mining nodes.

Do you see that? The guy read that harvesting gear was missing and then jumps to the forums saying his gear that had harvesting traits is missing because he hadn’t realised that only the named set has gone off.
He actually lies in order to just be a part of the mob. Do you see what I mean?
Yes that happens. People are either mistaken or make exaggerated claims or at worse (rare) they lie. But we have to analyse this too and ignore the noise that’s not making sense.
But does it mean we dismiss every case and every scenario? No.
So gotta try and look at each with unbiased/impartial view. Try to observe.
Really enjoy/enjoyed this game (550hrs + all of endgame mostly done) and can see potential. So I’m here trying to reason, voice and debate in the hope that the devs/mods can perhaps find some common sense and introduce better features, balance and etc. But so far not sure if anything is heard at all.
Well what I mostly observe is an insane antihype train…
I’ve been in several MMO launches. Each and everyone of these had a huge decline in numbers and then, after the first expansion numbers were starting to increase again or the game died.
Path of exile fir example, goes from 150k to 11k every 4 months with the new leagues. Warframe started with x00k players, dropped to 20k and then climbed back again.
Every game is like this but we label new world ( that is insanely popular) dead.
It just doesn’t make any sense. The game is doing more than fine and it will get better…
Path of Exile is an arpg not an mmorpg…different genre. Exactly the same as Diablo III, Grim Dawn, Last Epoch where they have “seasons/leagues”. You can’t compare apples and oranges.
Yes I know man but poe has mmo elements like a player driven economy. Thats why I mention it.
ESO was the same. Guild wars 2 the same. Ff14 was destroyed and remade etc.
Only wow back in the day was an exception and back then, imagine that, we didn’t have utube and antihype trains. And trust me wow on release had insane exploits. No one cared
Haven’t played either of those, I left to play a proper mmorpg, which this was advertised as being and which isn’t in reality. Why you think mmo players would even contemplate playing a pixelated game like Minecraft I really don’t know, but hey I guess you thought it was a good insult…it just misfired
I would not buy the game with this PVP flagging bonus. I stopped playing this game the day they implemented this PVP flaggin bouns, and I’ve played every day before that.
I check the forums every other day to see if they will do something about it because I liked the game. But it don’t seem they will do something about it, so I gues I’m finsihed with the game. Too bad…
I continue to play the game and all I’ve seen happen is a lot of PVE players flag up to go harvesting and I’ve done the same and so I’ve just made friends with them and we’ve actually communicated.
People who like PVE can just use this, get the bonus and get almost none of the PVP, because… surprise surprise… Not everyone is flagged to gank people.
In my experience, this change has had an overwhelmingly positive impact. Now, we should probably read the room right now because… no one cares about this right now, do they?
I think games should have PvP servers for people who want full loot PvP.
I used to love PvP, but through the years I have become a filthy casual. Nowadays I only PvP in arenas or “battlegrounds” . Open world PvP is NOT my thing anymore. If I am out gathering mats I do not want to be attacked.
I wish this game had PvP servers and PvE servers and PvE-RP (which I always make a character on if that type is available) .
Yes, I would, as one who likes to roleplay characters created I think PVP adds depth and immersiveness to this game, though I am glad of the ability to enable or disable this feature.
I don’t know, when I play PvE I’m with a full luck gear set, when I go into PvP going with the same set would put me in troubles, so I’m somehow happy that this bonus now exist.
Well, I killed a lot of folks in mines that expected to survive with luck gears + PVP bonus, did not end well for them. The problem I see here is I don’t see this happening on small servers, there are not enough players to contest all zones like that (I played on both a small and now a high population server and can see the difference pretty accurately).
