Good afternoon,
“A year from now, I will play a then bug-free New World while humouring myself thinking back of when I was playing in late 2021 during what was probably one of the most catastrophic launches in MMO history.”
I am hopeful and think it is only a matter of time before my little scenario above comes true. My concern however is that so far I cannot see how you could ever get out of the trap you seem to have put yourselves into; it appears that in New World the patching process has a systemic introduction of additional bugs, and now, rollbacks too.
I love this game and cannot wait to enjoy it without fearing patches nor wondering where patch-bugs will hit next. From gear destruction to rollback, through trade house disabling and server shutdown, you have demonstrated multiple times that nothing we owe is guaranteed to be here the next day, not even our progress.
This game is in dire need of a plethora of patches* each doing one thing, and one thing only: fixing a bug.
Break this infernal loop.
Kind regards,
A puzzled player
*and keep in mind that so far the focus is on critical bugs, nonetheless there is an alarming number of non-critical bugs that will have to be handled as some point too.
