Your team is supposed to have people killing bows in OPR. Also there needs to be more LOS. I’ve had 0 issues with bows running near full rubies standing on point because of the cover.
When I’m trying to snipe the mages, healers and bows on the ramparts I constantly have 2-3 assassins in a group trying to kill me some games. Or 9 FS spamming pillar on me. It is what it is until there’s role matchmaking. The patch fixed a lot though because bad bows are missing more and aren’t chunking me from across the map anymore. Most games I play now have heavy/med bruiser stacks with healers.
This is actually exactly what the opening clip DID show. Not only did I have low HP at 50 Con, but I was ALSO in Light armor. As my post earlier stated.
The comment said Arrowli got kills because of his team landsliding the victory and his “axe”. That is not what the video showed. Whatever you are replying to is a non-conversation.
If you actually watch arrow, he fights everyone regardless of what build they have. So that part isn’t really very true either. Although you did get punked in the process.

Sounds like a big big big skill issue there brother. You have the same constitution or even more you deal more damage you have range and you still have a meele weapon to fight back. Cry more.

Fortify changes broke the game and so everyone went to FS/Bow because they are ranged so naturally easier to score with and survive with by staying far away. You’ll notice most of the FOTM FS/Bow players play like turrets from the back of the crowd. Whereas OG ones will be aggressive pushing the pack flanking backlines etc.
They walked back the Fort stuff a bit, it feels better and now we are seeing way more melee and less FS/Bow again.
Yeah but light armor is on the edge of becoming useless.
In my opinion the “ranged” effectiviness should be nerfed and make them come closer and play like real players and not as turrets just as you said.
And with this change people will see how weak light armor is already. I talk with alot of property because i’ve played bow from meele range and then musket from literal meele range and in this perspective you see that light armor was indeed strong in the isabella’s patch for example.
Then it got nerfed to the new stamina system which pretty much worked like the shield stamina regen (the delay on start regenerating).
With this change i’ve felt alot of weight on my shoulders and couldn’t play like before mainly at 1vX situations but i thought it was fair.
Then they nerfed it again putting the slowdown effect on basic attacks and slow making the dodge distance lower and i’ve felt even more weight almost not being able to 1vX even when there was a good skill gap and with this nerf my main weapon was nerfed too (rapier) and that made this game become hard to me but i adapted and since then i thought again it was fair enough.
With this patch right now and light taking that much damage i don’t actually know because i almost didn’t played it but i can say for sure that weight probably became higher than ever.
So another nerf on lights will make it unaviable to play and by logic nerfing it won’t change much if they don’t change how ranged play the game.
It will remain alot of turrets throwing skills at high range but with medium instead.

And I can not remember entering a wow arena seeing a rogue or something like that and thinking " well I just picked the wrong class , gg".
Having classes in a role play game doesn’t mean one is better then another or counters a certain class. This isn’t a moba or an rts.
You pick a class in a RPG because you can idintify with it and that is why one class should never outperforme another.
When I summarize this forum about the bow:
It should not shoot arrows at distance.
He must not be able to run away.
He must not be able to do any damage.
He must get 2 shots when he gets caught.
Basically you want a training dummy?
No but if you go into an arena as an Rsham vs an Assa rogue you’re gonna have a bad time. Certain classes counter others just off of how they function and what their roles are. It happens naturally.
If you pick a class or build in an RPG you should know full well your weaknesses so you can work around it. You identifying with something is irrelevant to PvP. If you’re struggling against certain classes, it probably counters you. So you need to improve your gameplay/try extra hard against them. You can also change your defensives to help in those scenarios, and change a few skills around. Maybe even throw on a different weapon.
That’s the good thing about new world, is that there are no classes and you have multiple weapons that work with your attributes.
Kids today have no idea how class balance is supposed to be. There should never be a “hard counter” and in NEW the game is full of hard counters.
When this game shuts down, I will never play another action combat MMORPG again. Between the exploits and aimbots (tab target is not affected by this) and the terrible balance of combat due to a huge number of builds, I just do not see the point.
I have never played a game with such terrible PVP. Warhammer Online was better, SWTOR is better, GW2 is better, WoW is better, even ESO which I can’t stand is better than PVP in this game.
I have never been as consistently frustrated with PVP in any game as I am with this one. I mean LITERALLy 9/10 OPR matches are not fun. Between exploiters, hackers, macros, premades vs pugs, its just an uphill battle all the way.
I purchaed an RTX 2080 in like november 2019. IT came with a free copy of Battlefield V. That game is NOTORIOUS for the amount of cheaters in it, and no joke…when I have had it with the PVP in new world, I log into BFV to relax.
Some dudes in forums are crazy and they don’t know what they are saying.
As I said in another post that most people that use forums are mostly weapon clubists and they will always defend nerfs on other weapons that they don’t use.
They will want to nerf everything. Sometime ago I just posted a video where I was playing musket from literal melee range and I got hated like hell by people saying I was using an overtuned weapon and all my plays weren’t any fair.
People on forums are sick.
But this dont help at all, really, I still needs to stop 1.5s to have 100% accuracy (the accuracy perk helps a lot but still bad), still is a lot of time to wait to shoot when during this 1.5s a bow can shoot maybe 6 arrows or more if u cancel propely.
In reality, it should not be able to cancel the animation, so the arc would probably be less oppressive.
Because in the end, it’s a handful of “animation killer”, that we can almost compare to the bug user, that make a lot of complaints about the arc.
And in the meantime, those who play the bow “normally”, get a lot of nerves.
Animation cancel is the heart of the bow and it’s how it should work.
Bow’s about speed and high pressure with a good damage.
The problem with the bow is that most players that hated musket while played bow are now using it as a musket from much far where no meele can reach while spamming heavies in the whole OPR.
So in my opinion heavy attack just be more nerfed and lose its capacity to hold a heavy attack. Work just like mages and whenever the heavy is charged it will come out.
This will solve for once any problem with the cowards and rats gameplay.
Heavy attack is something supposed to be a surprise attack in order to start a fight with advantage and not a sniper rifle disguised as bow.
