I am attempting to return to New World after a nice 6-month break. I first created a Character on the AP Southeast server while I was stationed in Korea. I then came home to Arizona, and continued to play, with a bit more latency, but I wanted to keep the same company and friends. Now, after several months away I have been moved to Texas. I am attempting to access my character I already have created on AP Southeast, but am blocked by “due to poor connectivity, please choose a region closer to your location”.
How do I get back to that 624gs character I had? How could I transfer regions with that character, and how can I do it without having to log in with him? Do we have work arounds for accessing characters regardless of poor connectivity?
Welcome to the New World forum, I’m really glad to see you are here at the forums and hope you can enjoy your time here and at the game as well!
Let me help you with your questions one by one!
How do I get back to that 624gs character I had?
A/ Sadly the character cannot be “recovered” since it hasn’t been deleted.
How could I transfer regions with that character, and how can I do it without having to log in with him?
A/ We cannot transfer character between regions.
Do we have work arounds for accessing characters regardless of poor connectivity?
A/ Sadly any workaround for this could lead to a ban since any VPN usage is considered a CoC violation.

Thank you for your reply! So the answer is no answer? I am out of luck on a character I made on release, and will have to start over each time I move countries? Can I turn off that “poor connectivity” alert and play anyways? I don’t even mind 200ms.
Sadly in this case the best option would be to create a new character from scratch, and when you go back to Korea, you should be able to continue using your first character, sadly the option to remove the “Poor Connectivity” sign is not an option as far as I know.
