Hello, I accidentally salvaged my two fishing items (hat and pants). I gathered them from fishing chain quest. Is it possible to restore it?

Dear devs, I love fishing in this game and pretty much play it to become the best fisher.
And when I got my high lvl unique fishing gear I accidentally salvaged it. Makes me extremely sad that there is no way to get another trousers with both lucky waters and fishing colossus because my plan was to get maximum luck while fishing. No longer possible.

Thank you for your answer and I understand the reasoning. I have looked further into the fishing gear and came up with a solution for the salvaging problem that wouldn’t hurt anyone and would be fair.
Suggested easy fix
Currently the Vengeful Fisherman’s Gear is the only drop that has fishing perks. The problem here is, that the perks are hard coded, which results in the pants, boots and smocks to never have both “Lucky Waters” and “Fishing Colossus”. An easy fix would be to change the perks of these 3 items to also have “Lucky Waters” and “Fishing Colossus” or even better: make the perks random!
This would give anyone who accidentally salvaged their fishing gear a chance to earn them back with hard work!

Perhaps upon quest completion we could also learn a recipe to craft the item. It can be bind on pickup like the quest version.
Would be great if we learned recipe for all items that are in reward chests (e.g. all 4 fishing poles and both tier V gloves and boots). It is quite annoying if you prefer perks on item that RNG did not grant you.
Edit: above all I would prefer if those perks were obtainable through regular crafting and I could get chance to mix them as I need. I really miss gem slots on vengeful gear and GS 600 version for slightly higher focus:)
Any update on this? I am fishing all day with a friend and get half the legendaries, just because I salvaged my fishing pants from the quest line. We need any possibility to recover from this. Any other profession has no problem whatsoever to find another gear with the profession luck perk. Easy fix would be to randomize the fishing perks on the Vengeful Fishermans Gear, so we can try and earn them back.
Please AGS, I play this game for fishing and it is really frustrating. Not only for me but I have met many who accidentally salvaged their quest line gear. Feels unfair to have NO way to get anything similar back.

I passed your feedback on this issue for quest salvaged items. We really appreciate it.
We have in game now a note marking when is a quest item.
Tough salvaged items still cannot be recovered, we are working towards improving the game, so please feel free to continue giving us feedback.

Hi, I am sorry I think I did not explain it well and you understood it wrong.
We want to be able to either craft or find a full fishermen gear set all with the perks “Lucky Waters III” – Because in the current state, if you salvage for example the trousers you get as a quest reward, you will never ever be able to get a full “Lucky Waters III” set.

I understand now that you want to either be able to craft those items or find them elsewhere. As you said, as it is right now that isn’t yet an option. So what we can do is to raise this suggestion as feedback.
