Since last patch when family share got disabled I lost my account progression and everything that I had on it.
My and my brother pre-order the game as a b-day gift, he got it for me and I got it for him.
The thing was he got it on a secondary steam account that I don’t really use and since family share was a thing I used that feature to play with my main account.
Now when I try to log in it brings me to the new world shop page, and my progression with over 300h in game got lost.
I know that by simply buying the game again, I could access the account, but I don’t really want to spend $40 again.
I understand that family share had to be disabled because of bugs, gold sellers and exploits. For someone like me who simply used it to play on his main, is there anyway to help me get what I lost back?
Or transfer the game from that account to the one I use?
I’m sorry for the delayed response, this was the message that was sent from the Dev team on family share: Due to the increase of bots, gold sellers, and ban evaders, we decided to disable family sharing November 4, 2021 11:00 AM (in your local timezone). This decision was not taken lightly and for players who utilize family sharing for a valid reason, we will update this post with instructions for assistance.
And after this message they replied with this solution:
We have compiled a list of players who used Family Sharing as intended and will grant ownership to those players. Watch for a notice from Steam once this has been completed.
I wish I could help you transfer the game to the other account but at this time there is no available option to do so.
