100% agree, if you need to change out your gem slots just to fuckin quest, the zone is over tuned. AGS already forces us to play farming simulator with 18 different gear sets PLUS swapping gems weekly PLUS ward sets PLUS tinctures PLUS food PLUS coatings. Like jfc how many different items and sets do we need on our persons just to play the basics of the game. It is a joke, just like the dev team

I think the acid potions are good enough, my main issue is the cost of the mats are stupidly expensive.
But yes nature resist, more poison resist etc. would be goodā¦but also, is acid suppose to be more end game? So once youāve built good scorpid armour and have more poison resist to do those chests.
I like the idea of the acid effect, but the implementation is WAY too punishing. Even using incense and swapping out useful gems for the chitin plates, just feels like this was intended to troll players. The tincture does almost nothing (unlike the Corruption and Blight Tinctures which actually have a purpose). If I had to spend any more time in the acid than I already do, I might consider quitting, its just not worth the frustration.

this game needs harder mechanics, this area prevents bots and makes it so players actually have to think and work together to harvest things.
Itās fine and I do the full chest run solo with purifying toast on my earring and if you have it the cleanse from entomb helps too.

I would rather fight tougher mobs than this annoying afflictions like acid and poison , itās a waste of time waiting for the effects to pass, like the last boss on genesis, when is poison everywhere, if I stay in the poison to do some damage, hp goes down like crazy even with 340 con. At least for the blight damage the potion does its job, acid potion itās a joke.
I only put 2 plates in my luck gear, and its not a problem anymore. I also use incense to not wait. I think they should make it harder and up the rewards and not spam me with potions. I have 4k hyssop and no plans to ever use them.
The chests are solo able with it. I can show you someday. Paddings will give enough to open chest, kill the spawn, loot. You can also use the tinctures to quickly remove acid burn if it ever happens
like so many complains on here there is a really simple solution: get some friends and do it together. way easier and fun. we run with 5-10 people every day and its finally some fun stuff to do after months of just standing in front of windsward and trashtalking all day

They really though adding a new random resist would be good? Maybe if you could change gems without destroying them it seems ok. But everything they add almost requires a new set of gear that is a pain in the ass to manage/swap.
I think they said they wana stop taking 3 steps forward and 2 back but they keep taking 3 steps back and 2 steps forward IMO.
They had a simple game in Beta with perks etc that seemed manageable. Not they just keep adding perks and now heartrunes and their simplicity is shattered and itās not even close to good at the simple level.
Yeah thats the point I was trying to make. You should have time to collect a chest without needing to pop and incense, an acid tincture before and after collecting it.
After going through a few times it still feels very overpowered. Maybe I was a little quick to react without trying incense + acid tinctures + purifying toast + the poison resistance padding (which does make a difference but i think should only be necessary if you plan on spending an extended period of time there to farm or something).
Imo the best changes would be: decreasing the rate of acid resistance reduction and increasing the rate of acid resistance regeneration.
Right now it drops at a rate of 5 per tick while in the acid, and 1 per tick while on the surrounding rocks. Its barely enough time to collect a chest with an incense + acid tincture popped (not including the time taken to open it). And the acid resistance regeneration rate is slow while outside of the area. If the reduction rate was 3, or ticked slower it would still be punishing to fight in the acid, but stepping in the edge to collect a chest wouldnāt be lethal for anyone without incense + acid tincture already popped.
I can appreciate its meant to in difficult areas with worthwhile rewards but I still think it needs tweaking.
I agree. I dont think āmaking an entire new setā is justifiable for a single area or to replace all your gem slots every time you wanna do a chest run through acid pools. Time will only tell if AGS agrees its too strong thoā¦or rather comes to understand some of the frustrations players are experiencing with it.
