It takes a lot of resources to make one acid tincture. The cactus flesh and aloe gel are no problem. The charged sand is tougher to get, but plentiful enough that it can be reliably found (and safely mined).
However, sulfur is way too hard to get especially considering where it is found. This is especially true with how little you get. It gets worse when you have to turn the sulfur chunks it into sulfur.
Either keep the ratio of sulfur chunk to sulfur the same and greatly increase the amount you get per node, or increase the amount of sulfur you get from each chunk. Alternatively, you could reduce the amount needed to craft one acid tincture.
On my server, sulfur is around 60 gold. It takes 5 sulfur for one acid tincture. I would have to sell the acid tincture for 300 gold just to break even (and not even considering the other resources).
Acid tincture on my server goes for around 200.
Not a good business strategy to make something for 300+ gold and sell it for 200 gold.
Sulfur and Charged Sand will go down in price. Every day it drops even further. I’d wait till the economy settles down before you go making judgments about the costs of the new crafts.
How ironic is it that you need acid padding to be able to farm elite chests in acid pools, but you want pristine pearls to boost the luck so those elite chests have a higher chance of giving you good drops.
Personally I just use berserk before searching any chests and then pop a health potion after you get out.
Given how effective they are (hint, they arent) the cost is not only too high in the way of resources but not worth the time investment either. The whole acid mechanic feels WAY over tuned and needs some work.
I don’t think it’s necessary to use more than incense and an earring with purifying toast when you are actually looting. You can open the Sarcophagus and fight the mob with chitin padding then switch to armor with luck and pearls.
