but seriously, PVP zones sound bonkers incredible and good, there’s a myriad of ways to make these happen. Including using PVP only materials that can get you things from shops, enhanced mineral nodes with daily limits, salt farms. just, all kinds of ideas about these sound good.
It kills me that whenever people brainstorm ideas like these, people come in and say that “you can just flag and farm”, which is true, but while i’m fighting bojangles over here over these nodes, you’re taking the ore unflagged and i can’t fight you jimmy.
there was a big giant super cool update for PVE, so let’s get some more PVP goodies please thanks. New OPR maps, new modes, PVP zones that can be capped, ect, ect. Gimme gimme gimme.
I wanna see corruption portals that you can go INTO that bring you to corrupted pockets with a capture the flag pvp zone mechanic for farming and all of that goodness.
Or like an upside down version of Aeternum that’s pvp only, you enter through a corrupted portal and have to cap areas to get further in. Like the opposite of how corruption portals work on the overworld. Cap the small areas with a faction crystal staff to proceed further into the corruption. IE the entire map is corrupted, and the only way to get around is with azoth staves that make safe bubbles. (kind of like in tempest, you move around with it and can set it down when fighting)

wanted them to do this from day one, full pve side and pvp side, both same map just a teleport away, they did this in ultima online and made there small map feel huge, since it basically doubles space, and nodes and leaves pve’rs and pvpers to choose what they want while still being able to play with each other if they choose to.
