House decoration score has a soft cap of 1000. Past this point, you really need to make some serious effort into aquiring T4 pieces to see any major increase.
With a house full of T3-T4 I’m close to 2500 house decoration and I invested over 100k coin to get there.
Seeing as house decoration score probably caps around 3000 with teritory standing to increase furniture piece limit, I think it would be really interesting to take this house decoration score and add it to storage weight limit.
3000 weight limit added to one storage unit after investing over 100k coin to purchase furniture is a fair trade and would make furniture more desirable by players.
Furniture is overshadowed by trophies and not that easy to sell. It would be nice to have this change to add more value to furniture other than being just a cosmetic thing.
I often wondered why owning a house didn’t give at least some automatic increase to storage beyond chests. After all, it is, well, a house. This system would definitely do that, and make furniture mean something much more than just “look how pretty my eight cots are”. Totally agree with this.
I’ve suggested elsewhere using specific furniture for specific increased storage (dresser/armoire holds gear sets, desk for arcana, etc.) It would be great to see furniture get some real use, and even some new stuff (charcoal bin, ore barrel, wood bushel, fibre basket, cold storage for food stuffs, etc.). But even if they decided to just go generic score equals added capacity and do as you suggested, it would still give a real reason for people to want to add good furniture to the home. Instead of the house just being a teleport/chest/trophy storage.
