A lot of the skins in the shop have a common theme, they are way over the top in their designs. I think that its a tragedy that most of the more grounded armor designs aren’t armor skins. Where is the Thorpe Conquistador looking set? Faction armor skins? Basic hunter and civilian skins? Not everyone wants to look like a heavy combat fairy lord from a demonic dimension.
Some people want to look like Tom, the musketeer. Or Dave, the Blacksmith. Not everyone wants to look like Azgol’lioth the glue sniffer.
I’d rather more Roman, Dynasty, and Spaniard sets be added as skins before more of what we have been getting. Please consider adding more grounded and down to earth skins to the shop, and stop with the over the top mystical skins. Thanks.
i dislike the newst skin a lot. It has nothing to do with New World. it has similarities with a fairy set from World of Warcraft. I will not buy it.
I would suggest to replace all the shop armor skins.
If you run depths you can pretty much get thorps exact armor set. https://www.reddit.com/r/newworldgame/comments/v6zu35/the_full_expedition_captain_set_thorpes_helmet_in/
But by down to earth do you mean like thieves guild leather armor from skyrim or leather armor from fable because thats not really period accurate. People were more about cloth armor and iron and steel. Chain mail was sorta on its way out and leather was expensive not in the manufacturing but because it helped spread pestilence and plague. It wasnt really capable against arrows muskets and spike weapons anyways. But i guess if its vanity cosmetics your after… There are no objections. I liked the theives armor they had put in but they had released that after the 1.2 patch and I was not about to pay micro transactions after that. Still not super keen on the way they wont expand on a combo system to combine cooldown attacks to do completely different things. The void step from the void gauntlet was fun and all they had to do was give other weapons different abilities. But im rambling.
Much of the down to earth armor sets can be found in expeditions, pvp leveling, arena rewards, and general crafting and questing.
