Obsidian void stone is actually going for over 150g / each on Valahaa. It take 400 Lodestones brick to get 50 obsidian void stone. It takes 6 lodestone to craft 1 lodestone brick. Ultimately it’s takes over 2400 lodestones for 10 runestones ( daily CD btw ). Please increase lodestone nodes or decrease the requirement for this
Or, as we suggested for a millionth times, make the stone bears drop half a medium node. No bots at least will get those.
The bears on Malevo should yield a lot of stone, same as the dogs for wyrdwood but here we are… camping lodestone nodes man. We are camping lodestone nodes. And people say NW lack content? Pfft
Yea I totally forgot about Thoses bears
. I’m also ignoring every wyrdwood Wolves in RW, the most annoying mob of all with a net +1 wyrdwood. You can agree that lodestone is way too much? 2400 lodestone ( actually pricing at 4.2g / each ) would be 10k gold for daily CD that doesnt even count stone cost or anything
i cant remember how many times people created topics about how ridiculous the stonecrafting is compared to other leather-smelting-weaving recipes. Its insane that they keep saying its intentional despite having really low amount of lodestone around the map. That really need to change
Price is a result of many factors.
2 months ago you mined a lodestone node by error and dropped it.
Now we have: bots, bots everywhere. Bots camping, dudes running 4-5 clients with the same controller farming mobs and nodes.
People camping nodes, because you need your daily CDs for asmo, fibers, etc.
Packed-to-the-brim servers, with 2.2k people online and 1.5k people waiting to get in.
A scarce resource as lodestone suddenly is the new vedette and everyone wants a piece of it, and there’s not enough even without worrying about stocking for Brimstone.
AGS did it again, future hyped content ruined by the incompetent management on the present.
Happy anniversary, the same mistakes, only 12 months apart.
Yea totally , people were just ignoring runestones cd because it’s what used for nothing ( well for PVE arenas only ). Now with new update you need 25 for legendary runes + runestone stopwatch also need 10 runestone to craft. So they added MULTIPLES uses for runestone while not addressing the root of the problem. ( hardest rss to gather atm )
I’m also on Valhalla and the Lodestone shortage makes it so costly to craft your daily Runestone. I need 1190 Lodestone to craft my 10 Runestones. That’s with full stonecutting gear and without the FL fort bonus. Lodestone is over 4g each right now. After adding in everything else the total cost to craft the 10 Runestones is over 6k. That’s ridiculously expensive. AGS needs to increase the number of lodestone nodes by a lot and decrease the respawn time. Basically the same thing they did for Starmetal and Orichalcum back in May. Although that took like 6 months of complaining before they finally made that change. I hope they realize it sooner for Lodestone.
the recipe is bugged… it should be 2x lodestone brick + 8x lodestone like you need 2x starmetal ingots + 8x orichalcum ore for ori ingots
please fix this @Luxendra
Yea that’s actually it , I was on my phone so didn’t want to crunch number but I knew there was something there. Would make ALOT more sense will bring up down from 2400 lodestones for 50 obsidian to 1000 lodestones / 50
@Luxendra @Kay any words on this ? Feels like something wrong with Lodestone / stone cutting to get obsidian void stone
They’ve looked at it before and said it is intended to be that way, although why it should be that way is unrevealed.
There is NO WAy it’s intentional. You need 400 lodestone brick to craft 50 obsidian voidstone. You need 2800 lodestone brick / week for your daily CD. Or if you like you need 16 800 lodestones / every week to do your daily CD.
I do remember AGS saying it was intentional. I can see the requirements being different compared to other refining trade skills especially considering you only need stone and lodestone. If there were a ton more lodestone available, then I don’t think people would care about the increased requirements to make the obsidian voidstone.
Yes, it was intentional because it was barely used, and stone is available… well, under every stone (?).
Now, as usual, old mechanics and gimmics fall short on the new content and AGS will take enough time for all to lose interest to get it updated/fixed/addressed.
Also the true number of lodestone you need to craft your 10 runestones each day is much less than the number you are using here. At max stonecutting you have a 40% chance to create additional lodestone brick and a 33% chance for obsidian voidstone. Add 10% more bonus for stonecutting gear, which you really should have if you’re doing any stonecutting. Also add 10% more bonus if your faction holds the FL fort. For myself, at max stonecutting with full stonecutting gear I only need about 1200 lodestone per 10 runestones. If your faction has the FL fort, then I think it’s around 1050 lodestone per 10 runestones. Even so I still think we need a hell of a lot more lodestone throughout the world.
I bought all the lodestone off the TP recently and am camping/farming.
It’s a lucrative business rn.
Yea I’m not counting every into account for newer / returning player who doesn’t have all refining set and all but I agree you got some extra rolls. I still find that we don’t have enough lodestone nodes for how many people playing( and now they increased 200 more cap). I literally just sold 50 runestones for 750g / each lol. I just feel bad for people who doesn’t have gold
I definitely think it’s worth selling your runestones and obsidian voidstones at these ridiculous prices. Maybe the only reason to not sell now would be if you think the prices will keep going higher, which they probably will as more people return to the game and as more people find out about the changes coming in the Brimstone Sands update.
+1 please fix
Yup, noticed the same recently. Lodestone needs the same treatment that Starmetal and Ori got recently. More nodes, faster respawns and potentially more yield aswell. The requirements could also tuned a bit.
