Advice for PvE players for Flagging

If you are flagged for PVP, don’t wear your uber bonus farming gear, wear competitive gear, take the hit on loot while you run pvp missions

Other additions:

  • Put your campfire in non obvious /low traffic spots. They can’t camp you if they dont know where your respawn is. If you suspect they know, or outright found it and are camping you… wait 3-5 mins to respawn… they will think you pathed to town and they will move on.

  • Make the zergs/groups work for their kill… run and zigzag… line of sighting as many trees and obstacles as possible as you run (so they can’t range dps you easily). For 1 kill, most zergs wont chase for long… especially if you make it inconvenient (jumping off a cliff that separates major areas).

  • Protip, that people might not know about… teleport shrines are pvp disabled, like settlements. They unflag you when close to it (and it doesn’t reset pvp quests… unless you use the shrine). Note, you cannot permanently unflag at shrines though.

Nah, I still rather run around wearing the tittle “Doesn’t Duel” instead of flag on.

I honestly never flag…the 10% boost isn’t enough to tempt me. However, the bonus luck might once it is implemented.

When I’m hutting for flagged players the first place I look is territory my faction doesn’t hold. Just sayin.

I’m flagged constantly and this has literally never happened. There is no need to concoct fairy tales to suit your delusional view of playing flagged. The advice OP gave is spot on.

Pretty much and I will not flag up while I am tradeskilling and if PVP only extremists, sorry that this ideology ruins your gameplay experience.

You can toggle pvp at shrines, pretty certain I’ve done it many times. I will test shortly.

Let me know… I’ll update my post. Thanks

I found that if you use your microphone to scream “I have kids to feed” they’ll only kill you once.

I think you’re fighting shadows right now because there is no argument lol. I’m not making an argument, or a case to FORCE people to play the way I play. I am giving advice to players that don’t want to PvP, but still want to flag for bonuses. So ignore everything I said, claim that I’m forcing people to play a certain way, whatever, but you’re just making shit up at this point so you can say “I disagree!”

And to add to that, this isn’t even how I play xD I’m die-hard PvP loyalist and If I see someone else flagged, im charging head first into them. I made this thread to help PvE players against PvP players like me xD

Addition

  • use faction chat to call out pvp enemies in your location. There are a lot of players just waiting for those messages to pop up and will arrive fast. (By default, they are usually the most experienced and organized pvprs). You are not inconveniencing them, they enjoy coming to PvP.

… and join along when they arrive, you’ll learn and have fun… maybe make some friends.

Ok this one reminds me of something I learned while banging on an iron node. some covenant dude slaps my back with an ice ball or something. I scrambled to catch my bearings only to see the clown trying to mine the node like I was too scared to fight. I came charged with my hatchet and he dodged back away from the node and we engaged in a full fight. Sometime during the battle, I engage the node and took it. I only;y had one strike left.

Edit: Btw I was killed

you forgot dont flag, dont pvp, dont even really bother reading ‘what you should do’ threads. 1000s of us out there, who dont even care <3

Honestly any kind of PvP is going to not be the greatest if you aren’t that kind of player and unfortunately most MMORPGs will almost require that if not it’s very recommended. However for people who want to pvp at low level my recommendation is to flag for pvp in lower level areas like starting zones. If you see yourself to become attracted by higher level pvp’ers then Amazon needs to add what blizzard implemented and that’s a bully system. Anyone lower than 10 levels should be reported for bullying if the higher level players repeatedly kill lower levels because let’s be honest. That’s not cool and kind of a bully. We need to respect lower level players and just imagine if that was you just minding your business and maybe trying to fight same level players as you because you are in that level zone and some 60 kills you and does it over and over. Gets kinda annoying. Now if you are a level 45 and a 50 kills you then you just need to either keep fighting or find seats around it. Keep the game harassment free and an enjoyable game for everyone

If you do want to pvp… also wait for the zerg to rush by (usually full speed blindly chasing after the next target)… the stragglers at the back are much easier prey (often not good, and don’t communicate… lulled into a feeling of safety because they are running in a large zerg).

Half the time, they are afk… lol.

Bro-tip : if you don’t want to PVP, then do not activate it, period. But please, please… quit crying out about unfair this feature would be. Because it’s not.

Originally, this game was a hardcore pvp game with full loot. People complained, full loot feature gone. Then people complained again, pvp became opt-in.
As it is today, there is indeed very low incentive for people at max lvl to run into the wild with pvp activated. How does it translate for, let’s say, an orichalcum farmer ? It became some kind of a clusterf*** where each player tries to pull mobs on whoever is farming to get the last hit on the ore. That is totally not fun, toxic and incredibly frustrating.
This feature will not even impact that because, correct me if I’m wrong, overall luck only impacts gear loot on mobs/chests. However, it MAY incite more people to tag in the long run, which would give back the notion of actually fighting for a resource, which is a good thing in a pvp oriented game, right ?

For all my pve homies now, it is ONLY an incentive. If you don’t want to do it, you won’t lose anything compared to the actual situation.
In this pvp game, you can even PVE ONLY IN 20vs20 PVP MODES ! So just why are you always complaining since this change will only affect you if you want it to ? You won’t lose anything, you can play as do it today with absolutely zero change. So why all the drama ? Pvp players definitely need pve players in this game, for crafting produces the best gear, period. I’m from a heavily oriented pvp company, hell do we value, cherish and help our pve players… and guess what ? They actually don’t complain, look objectively at this change and find it totally fair… not because of us pvp players, but BECAUSE IT IS.

Thank you! This is really great advice and i will definitely flag up for PvP when i reach 60. I’m not afraid to admit that i’m not a great PvP’r and need all the help i can get

My biggest gripe of PvP stems from the actions of those that defeat me legitimately and in a superior fashion, but then go on to belittle me with childish comments. That is what has put me off from alot of PvP’ing in many games. You don’t need to rub it in when i lose… i’m trying to learn!!

No need to worry, nobody will get attacked while flagged. In 3 weeks most servers will be so empty that is does not matter if flagged or not.

Yep, those people are lame… but not the vast majority of PvPrs (in my experience from this game and others). VOIP is super annoying when this happens.

I’m not in game, but I think you can toggle DMs and VOIP to be faction only. Not 100% sure.
