It’s fun for me to level up. Why don’t we level up? We don’t do ‘exp farm’ for hours with parties of 5 people. Need a lot of exp to be level 61. Let’s be 61 in 1 week. Let this amount be 2 weeks for 62. 1 month for 63, 4 months for 64, 7 months for 65. A system like this.
People enjoy making life skills. He enjoys doing pvp. Me and people like me enjoy leveling up
Thats how Black Desert online did it, but the downside has been, that a Level 62 char couldnt compete with a Level 65 char in any kind of Content.
People already complain because of the discrepancy between a GS600 and a GS625 Player, adding grindy levels on top of it would only widen the gap …
Edith:
Hitting max Level is only a part of the Journey, now you start to Level your expertise to 600 to get legendary Gear drops and after that, there is still the way to GS625
You can brag with your friends up to level 65, after that you won’t have any friends left
CONS:
There are people who get frustrated if they feel like they have to level forever
Although leveling up from 60 doesn’t have much impact, it always ends up having an influence
It can be used as a filter to set up groups, since in theory a level 60 person will have less experience than a level 66 person and will probably be less equipped, the highest level will always be chosen
Makes it difficult to add an expansion that extends the level cap
I think they should only raise the level cap if they are trying to “reset” past mistakes or fundamentally change the game somehow.
The game needs players, and I don’t think many people want to grind another 5-20 levels and collect all new gear.
If the game has a decent player base in about 6months to a year they could consider adding more levels.
Someone did suggest that we should get “aptitude” chests for leveling. Once you get enough experience to reach level 61, you don’t actually level up, but you get a reward. Then your exp resets. I thought that was a good idea.
Raising your character in lvl is without a doubt the most enjoyable grind to do in an mmo. For the good reason that it does not limit us to do always the same activity to progress.
A multitude of activities allow us to progress more or less quickly in the game. This allows ALL players to choose the ones they like and leave the others aside.
I agree. Let’s go. Let’s raise gearscore max to 800, level to 80, drop in some meta changing perks and an OP weapon with a busted passive that takes 3 weeks to patch. I’m ready.
And that’s why, in most mmorpgs, players are NEVER reluctant to create multiple characters on the same server.
AGS wanted to give all the keys of the game to a single character and here we are…
Very risky bet, lost bet !
